Classic New Mexican diner here, and the family recipe for carne adovada is as good or better than any other you will find. Served with huge, super fluffy sopapillas. This is a must experience in New Mexico. Like so many places these days, the are a bit understaffed, but service was very friendly. Average - enough that I probably will not return. I had enchiladas, and they were okay. Nothing to get excited about. It was so understaffed, you need to order your food at the front register and then it gets delivered to your table.
While the restaurant is much more unassuming than other places we visited on our New Mexico trip, it was hands down the best food. Carne Adovada was so tender and flavorful and the beans were so much better than any other restaurant.
