Papa Felipe's is such a great restaurant and has been for as long as I can remember. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable, and the service is great. This time I had the Chilaquiles casserole with an over medium egg and it was fantastic. The Christmas Chile cheese fries as an appetizer were excellent, the fries were crispy and the Chile flavorful with good heat. Everyone else's dishes looked incredible and there wasn't anything left at...
Host wasn't very welcoming. He looked like he hated his job. The chips and salsa were not that great. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar. (Mild Pace Picante) I ordered the chicken Quesadilla as an appetizer, it was probably the only thing I enjoyed except it came with to salsa. My entree was the tamale dinner with red and green. Both chile sauces were very bland. No flavor, heat and the texture was as if they added some sort of thickening agent. I was disappointed....
Excellent ? service and food. First stop in years. This was my parents favorite restaurant. Glad the quality is still there. Went again had lunch bean burrito and taco. Excellent plate.
