The atmosphere had a good 90’s hip-hop homage. Saw the restaurant promoted by a local foodie on Instagram, the food looked good. But upon receiving our order a G-cheezy, a S.P.M., & and Lil Dicky. The buns to the burger were cool almost cold. Being a New Mexico burger joint the Green chili lacked heat, it was more sweet than heat. The wrinkled hot dog looks as if it had been sitting on a roller for a couple of hours.Over all was not satisfied with the spot, but I hope to a better future for them. Warm or toasted buns could’ve boost the score. Maybe down the road we’ll give it another try. NM true.

We finally got a chance to try the burgers here (via delivery) and they did not disappoint. I got the black bean burger and my husband had the green chile cheese burger and both were cooked perfectly and delicious! Added bonus are the fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside perfectly salted fries. Yum! We will definitely order from here again and I think it took some creativity to come up with all of those menu items and names, well done!

I'm a Nob Hill foodie, because I like what it has to offer and I live nearby, so one of my go-to spots is Slice Parlor. On our way out one day, we saw a sign propped on the sidewalk for Phat Stix Burgers.On another night, my boyfriend surprised me and said he was taking me somewhere new for dinner....he brought us to Phat Stax! Our visit was in the tail end of summer in August. So it was a bit warm, and their ac was not operational. They had fans set up in the dining to move the air around. It was still a bit hot and muggy, but they did their best to accommodate, and we appreciated that.Our food came out fairly quickly. I had burger and my boyfriend had a hotdog. We split both so we could both try each others food. It was good but I will admit, but it didn't excite me. The ambience caught my attention a bit more than the food. The menu items are all hip-hop themed with and ode to rappers like Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. The names are a lot of fun. I am interested in coming back to find that burger or dog that really makes me hum!
I'm a big rap nerd so this place doesn't disappoint. The Hip Hop atmosphere is great! Posters and toys all over! Smashed burgers are my favorite! Great service and family owned.

The balance of flavors between sweet and salty is sinful in the best way, the OPP was also beyond fire, stacked high with enough meat to make a vegan cry and enough taste to ruin you for for every other burger you try from here on out, and the notorious blt is absolutely in a league of its own, all I gotta say is bravo guys, you’ve outdone yourselves
