Rising Star Chinese Eatery

Solidly average.

My wife and I went there tonight for the first time and ordered some orange chicken with noodles, pepper steak, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup.

The appetizers were very enjoyable and we were looking forward to our entrees. But When they arrived though we were a bit disappointed.

The orange chicken was cinnamon-y and slightly anise-y didn't have really any of that orange flavor you would expect and I'm not talking about the panda express sugar bomb. The noodles were better but also still had that anise type flavor.

The pepper steak didn't seem to have any pepper used in the sauce and the steak was a bit on the chewy side. There were also a couple pieces of mini corn that were inedible.

Would probably go back but probably wouldn't order the same entrees.

Excellent FRESH food! Great flavor and you can’t beat the price! Service is phenomenal! Casual. Vegetarian options are great! Very clean. Well lit. Plentiful parking.

Delicious food, reasonable prices and nice people and service

This is a good and simple place to get a meal , lifesaver for a busy working mom.

I am out of state and passed through the area and decided to stop by Rising Star Chinese food. The food is delicious and the service is excellent!! I am actually very impressed with the quality and price. Menu options are plenty and servers where nice and attentive. I will be stopping by again next time I travel through the area.

We actually liked it here. They have good lunch specials! Offered hot tea and got a lot of tea for a very reasonable price. The lunch menu is great. I’ll definitely be back!

This is our families favorite Chinese restaurant. We travel from SW Alb at least once a month to enjoy dinner.

Wonderful food, the staff were on it with refills and whatever else I needed!! I definitely suggest eating here, I got the chicken chow mein and my wife got the beef broccoli both were excellent!!

Cheap place to eat but unfortunately it tastes like it too.

This place has it all - affordable prices, fastest food, that is also delicious, and a nice clean restaurant. The hot and sour soup is amazing!!

Food is always hot and the service is great. People are very friendly.

Used to be great prices. They raised them 3$, portions stayed the same. I ordered beef and broccoli and I got no sauce at all. It was dry and not what it used to be. No longer my favorite Chinese spot in ABQ.
