Amazing food
Sahara is my absolute favourite Jordanian/Middle Eastern restaurant in Albuquerque! I have been eating there for almost 20 years at all of their locations and still frequent the Central/University one The most. Helen and her family are so kind and talented and I'm grateful to know them. The chicken shawarma plate is my top choice and they have the best homemade pistachio baklava in town. The meats are all fresh and succulent, the rice is fluffy and perfect texture, the veggie dishes are exceptional, and the jallab and blueberry pomegranate teas are unique and flavorful. Love love love this place and can't recommend it enough. They also have Dubai chocolate!

I ordered the Lebanese Platter and Dolmas. It was excellent ... fresh and nicely seasoned. I also tasted my friend's Dubai Chocolate (with Pistachio) ... WOW! Wound up with a good-sized ToGo box. It's a really great place for a newbie or pro to Middle Eastern food!

Food was good. We weren’t blown away exactly, but it was good. Meat could have had more spice.

Amazing flavor, succulent, and aromatic. Everything on the menu is awesome, my wife and I eat here at least once a week. Authentic Arabic cuisine, atmosphere, and hospitality. They have this drink called rose water, it is literally to die for lol. Its a fight not to gulp the whole cup down before your meal lol

This is hands down one of the best Middle Eastern places I've been to in quite some time! We were visiting from out of town and are only slightly familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine. The cuisine was new to most of our group, but everything the group tried turned out to be fantastic. I highly recommend the shawarma sandwich, hummus and of course you have to get some of the Dubai chocolate! I enjoyed the visit so well. I went back a day later to get a Turkish coffee and ladyfingers.

I’ve been to Sahara twice this week. It’s outstanding food with amazing flavor. I’ve had the Gyro twice and each time it was perfectly consistent. The warm pita, well seasoned meat, tangy tatziki was perfection on a cold day. Dubai chocolate is too good.

The Shawarma sandwich was off the rails delicious. Excellent flavor and value. I could’ve gone with half as many pickles, and it would be perfect. The hummus was also very delicious and the pitas were on point. The jallab and baklava really sold me on the quality of this place. I would come back to Albuquerque just to eat here again.

Good food overall. I've eaten there (sit-in and takeout/delivery) a few times on my visits to Albuquerque. Good gyro, falafel, and their rice dishes are good. Portion sizes are perfect.
