This was a wine pairing dinner and we were a group of 8. The food was excellent and the wine pairing was perfect. The dining room is a bit loud which made conversation challenging but overall it was a lovely evening!

Scalo cuisine has varied over the years but on this night, we completely enjoyed delicious entrees, served with enthusiasm from the chef himself and wait staff - how nice! We like the feel of the restaurant - the cloth tablecloths and a neat paper overlay with the Scalo stamp; the view of the cooks at work; the airy main dining room with not-too-crammed-together tables. The menu offers a good variety, of course with an Italian emphasis, but not only. My salmon was perfectly cooked...

The food was good however , the service was so slow. There wasn't many people in the restaurant and it took over 20 min to even have anyone come wait on us. Then it was another 15 min to get our drinks and we had to remind the waitress. Now what we anticipated for the price.
