This was our first time coming here. When we arrived there was 2 parties before us. We had a party of 6. We were told that our wait would be 20-30 mins because the kitchen was backed up. Cool, we waited. As we waited MANY people arrived and were sat before us. At least 5 parties of 2 to 4 people. So I checked on this, I asked why all these other people were being sat before us when we had been waiting for 30+ mins already. They said the kitchen couldn't take a large party's...
I visited this restaurant in a party of five at 11 am on a Saturday. I had the huevos rancheros with Christmas chile. The dish was very flavorful. I was happy with Slate Street Café’s interpretation of this New Mexican staple. The restaurant was very busy, so it took a long time to take our order and receive our food. I recommend this restaurant when it is not very busy.
This restaurant serves absolutely delicious food! My server was super sweet though she admittedly forgot about us for a little bit. Luckily my friend and I weren't on a schedule and chatting a lot. But yeah, highly recommend!!
