The udon broth didn't taste like dashi. Sushi was sloppily made. Pretty expensive for lunch and the food tasted ok. Not worth it.

Pretty good sushi. Recommend don't go or even ask for a table if it is busy. Sumo Sushi is understaffed and unable to handle busy periods where the wait staff will be surly and Inattentive.

Best Dim Sum in Albuquerque! Enjoy when your not in a hurry. Service was very slow. That needs to be corrected! In my eyes, the food more than makes up for it!

The menu and rolls are bland and basic. They don't have egg rolls and the sashimi was ice cold almost frozen my bf didn't eat it. The server was nice and the place was clean and quiet. The food was just meh. Won't be coming

I was with a party of four at 1130am on a Saturday. I did not know what to expect from this restaurant or the experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were at the restaurant for the Dim Sum brunch. Collectively, we shared nearly 20 small plates of food. All of the food was well-prepared and flavorful. Two in my party had steamed buns with pork and stated that they were the best buns in Albuquerque. I enjoyed the rice with spicy pork, my favorite dish of the brunch. One in my party requested the sesame balls with plum filling for dessert. I had one, and it was amazing! The server did a fantastic job bringing the brunch cart around over and over again for our party. I had iced tea, but two in my party had hot tea, and all the beverages were excellent. I have not eaten the sushi, but I highly recommend this restaurant for the dim sum brunch.

This place was awful! Customer service was really bad. The waitress was rude and the food took forever!! We left without eating because the food took way to long. No apologies from anyone at this restaurant! It was our first time there and last! I'm sure they don't care they lost a customer!

Sushi maker guy talks too much instead of making the sushi. Shouldn’t have to wait so long for the order when they’re not busy, and you can watch him stand and talk and not fill the orders. The rest of the staff was great, everyone was friendly.

I am another person who has been coming to this place for years - at one point was an ABQ gem and one of the best sushi spots in town. Sadly this is no longer the case. I kept giving it another chance, but my heart breaks because it's just not good anymore. I am pretty sure management/ownership changed - the food is so much different now, and it's pretty expensive for what you get. I was recently here on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was empty. I know why. Sumo, I have many great memories of you, but it's time I move on.

Asked for a courtesy water, was told the waitress' boss wouldn't allow it and she'd get in trouble.

Came here for their Friday night dimsum serves from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm..Super duper slow service, we waited for 45 mins to get 4 plates of dimsum served, another 30 mins or more to get 2 more plates..Food quality was terrible, the worst dimsum that I have ever had. $4 per plate for 3 pieces of dumplings or a plate of 2 buns..not worth the money at all. Aweful food! So disappointed! I do not recommend this place. Try other dimsum places in town.

We were pretty disappointed in the service, speed, and food from AmerAsia. It used to be owned by a mother daughter duo and was great however it seems ownership has changed. We were there for over an hour and only got edamame and water. Not a single roll sushi we ordered. We ended up asking for our check and leaving. Even in our attempts to get the attention of the hostess, our waitress, or the sushi chef failed. We don't be going back.
