Ordered anger bird burritos as well as the spicy noodles. That was delicious. Thanks to the employees there, service was great 👍🏻

Fast food version of sushi. Solid but not great. No complaints just not great. From value standpoint, similar costs to full service restaurants in my experience. Looking for quick, easy and decent sushi or poke bowls, then absolutely. No complaints, just not high-end and that is fine- nor do they pretend they are. If I were to rate on comparison to say a Moe's, very similar experience, just different type of food, I would rate a 4.5.

If you like to eat sushi and drink it with Japanese beer or sake, then you are not here😁. Seriously speaking, I liked the quality of the food. Fast service and price. Everything was delicious and fresh. But they really don't have beer.

Normally I go to the one on Academy, which is great and cheaper too. This location is more expensive and doesn’t give you the same options. I thought they were all by the same owner, found out there not. The lady making the food was so rude, had an attitude. Mostly likely the owner because you can tell the employees don’t feel
Comfortable around her. I felt so uncomfortable when I ordering. Got 6 little pieces of salmon for my bowl. Don’t come to this location, I won’t be returning,

This is definitely one of my top restaurants for Albuquerque. The sushi burritos (literally just giant handheld sushi rolls) are delicious and filling enough for a stand alone meal, making them an affordable sushi option. My personal favorite is the Gunshow dipped in the sauce they serve with it. The Ninja Nachos is also delicious, made with fried wontons instead of tortilla chips. I take my family here regularly because it is one of the few ways we can get our sushi fix without spending a ton of money. Only reason they didn’t get the fifth star is I’ve encountered some surly staff, and the women who’s always there (maybe the GM or owner) is a cheerless presence. But if you can overlook that, this place is fantastic!

This is a sushi place for non sushi lovers. Nothing traditional. The fish sits pre packaged and is added to a burrito or bowl. Honestly I think it’s for young people (25 and under)
Was not for me!

It makes me sad to put this. I just left there because I was turned away because they were closing soon. Yes, there was a very kind lady sitting up front that told the people to still serve me but when I went up there, I did not feel comfortable ordering from them with the attitude that they were giving me. I left really emotional because this was the thing that I was looking forward to tonight I know I showed up late, but I was gonna pay and tip well but I hope everyone has a wonderful night. Who knows if I return.

Love the food here, all the guys who work here are amazing OTHER than the woman they recently hired I believe. Every time I go in she adds up charges for extra sauces, tonight when u went in she threw my bag of food at the counter and walked off. HORRIBLE customer service skills. When we were watching our sushi being made, she even yelled at my husband and I to pay. She’s rude, and in my opinion will bring down the rapport of this restaurant with its customers. She wears a black hat and a ponytail when I’ve been.

I normally love the poke bowls at Sushi Freak however receiving a DoorDash order missing 4 ingredients is simply careless, no mango, no mango sauce, no avocado and no ginger. Wow! Thanks for the plain salad and rice Sushi Freak. Also don’t try to call them because Verizon tells you they are busy. I wonder doing what because it is not ensuring quality.

Service was fantastic! Love the concept of the place just wish the quality was a little better. We got two rolls and a teriyaki bowl. The rice was very dry, definitely not enough water. The rolls fell apart when we tried to pick it up. And then the artificial crab texture was really unappetizing, definitely expected better quality krab, or just real crab... And the teriyaki chicken was good because of the sauce but the chicken was just there. Would have loved some seasoning or a little char fork grilling or something.

The experience I had today was truly a first. From the “What do you want” with attitude to the point of making me repeat 5 times that I wanted Tuna on a custom made poke bowl. She didn’t even let me finish my order before dismissing me completely. I highly recommend no one eats here if you have Tattoos unless you want to be discriminated against.
