This place has good Indian staples, reasonable prices (especially the lunch buffet), and a magical atmosphere that's hard to imagine until you've been inside.

We all as an group of 8 people’s have great fresh food, great taste & great service. Owner Simranji & Gaganji & entire staffs was outstanding with their hospitality while taking care for what we ask for to cook. Was great place to Eat in Quito. I personally suggest to any travellers to go & visit once, you will go back again for sure.Vegetarian options: The owner try to make very delicious Dal tadka, jira rice,Tanduri Roti, pakora, even she does make egg bhurji ( very delicious) & many more other food dishes if we ask to cook for us.
I've been dining at the Taj since I was a wee lad. Yesterday I brought my toddler for his first lunch buffet. He ate two plates and a bowl of mango custard!Always the best Indian cuisine to me, and now my two-year-old's favorite as well. Thank you, Taj Mahal, for feeding generations of my family with delicious and healthy food.
This is not Indian food. All frozen canned vegetables dumped in uncooked tomato puree is not Indian food. These guys need to learn to cook Indian food or stop marketing themselves as Indian restaurant.

Lunch buffet has was really disappointing. I finished my first plate before the server brought us our beverages. (At a buffet)
It’s is NOT AT ALL AUTHENTIC Indian food.Broccoli, bell pepper and peas in Biryani??It’s insulting for naming that dish as Biryani. If craving authentic Indian, avoid this place and go to any other restaurant

Being an Indian I can assure you it is not Indian food that they serve. Frozen vegetables or chicken in a cream or tomato paste sauce that you get in cans is how they make the butter chicken the paneer makhani and pretty much all the curries . Very unhealthy . Pls do not propagate these unhealthy food . This is not how Indian food is made

It could use a paint job, but the places with the best food always seem to be that way. They were behind the ball on Naan that day, but usually they are great. Decent variety of buffet foods.
