I tried this place after reading an article that is the best sushi in New Mexico and after going I can't argue (though I haven't tried every sushi joint in the state, I've tried plenty). A great indicator is the quality of something simple like a California roll, which is perfection here. I've been very happy with the sashimi too. My kids all love it ask to come here all the time. It's probably a little pricier than the norm in Albuquerque, but the quality is well worth it. I could do without all the screens/TVs in the place, but I'm easily distracted, some people probably would appreciate that. They also serve ramen which looks delicious (and I've been told by friends it is). I haven't ordered any yet because I love the sushi too much, but if someone in your party doesn't dig sushi it's great they have other solid options.
Small space for this amazing restaurant. Delicious food. And great service.

One could almost say that their servings were oversized because the slices of fish on the sushi are more like slabs.

It took a while for use to get our food, however it was well worth the wait. Really great sushi recipe's and the chefs should be thanked accordingly.

One of the few places in town that actually puts effort into Nigiri instead of just throwing fish on rice and calling it a day. Love the Chef’s Sashimi as well. Appetizers are great and the place is tidy and neat, despite being in a strip mall. I’m definitely in it for the food but a coworker was disappointed the pictures on the website look nothing like the actual place inside. The only places that I can think of with better sushi are all in Santa Fe.
Fabulous place to eat! The spicy ramen was so flavorful, only thing to make it better would be marinated eggs, would still order again. The avocado bomb was so good that I might go back and just eat that! The crepe cake desert was good and different, would probably go for mochi next time. Can't wait to check out the west side location!
Both times I've been here the food and service were fantastic. The Japanese curry portion was huge, enough for 2 meals, and was very tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Mom is Japanese so we are always on the lookout for good Japanese restaurants. This was a lovely surprise. Tempura was lovely and crisp, though it could have had a better selection of vegetables. Still, it was very good. We shared the Sakedon which was wonderful. It came with six pieces of salmon sashimi, assorted Japanese pickles, daikon and gobo ( which was a wonderful surprise!) served on a bed of seasoned sushi rice along with crab roll (4 pieces), a small serving of tempura and a salad. The salmon was excellent. The rice was slightly over dressed in the bowl, but I prefer white steamed rice personally. The California roll was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We ordered an extra order of tempura, but it turned out the Sakedon was more than enough. All of the food was beautifully presented as well. All I can say is Oishii!! We'll be back and next time I'll take photos!
