Never anywhere to sit. Just people camped out not eating.

It expensive here and the food is ok. 9$~ for a beer so if you have the ability to bring your own goods that may be worth the hassle.

We arrived at Angel fire on August 3rd and checked out August 5th. The room was good. I noticed that they were renovating one whole section of the hotel and I'm guessing everything's getting upgraded. No complaints but I'm not going to rave about it either What I am going to rave about is a front desk clerk, John. He is not just a great clerk, he is friendly and knowledgeable. (If there's more than one John, this is the one with the darker hair that's kind of long) He took the time to talk about the different ski areas (we're considering moving there for the skiing so that's important to us) and their levels of expertise. He found us a great map of hiking trails. And he gave his complimentary tickets to ride the ski lift to the top of the hill so we could see the view. Definitely do the ski lift. The view is stunning from the top of the mountain. His friendly attitude and excellent customer service was one of the highlights of the trip. It's people like John that make you want to move to a place like Angel fire. Angel fire. Go for the skiing. Stay for the people.

First impression was the unit was very much in need of remodeling. Furniture and bathrooms were very outdated. But once I got past the first impression, I really enjoyed the unit. It was nice and roomy, the view was nice, the water pressure was incredible, and the front desk staff were eager to be helpful.

The very best thing about the Lodge is the desk clerk, Sarah, who welcomes travelers as if they are her best friends! We arrived hours earlier than check-in, yet Sarah quickly found us a room already prepared. Her smile and genuine enjoyment of working with people made our day. That said, the Lodge at Angel Fire in summer has a few problems, especially in the housekeeping department. Our room was pretty clean but absolutely basic, as are the hallways, that resemble the halls in a minimum security prison: dark gray walls and almost no decoration. We had to ask for a light bulb to replace one (of two) that was burned out. Also, there was no bath soap. We had to ask the front desk for a couple of bath soap bars. What sort of hotel expects guests to supply their own soap? The Lodge has a restaurant--defunct--and a snack/coffee/souvenir shop that sometimes is open. There is no air conditioning but, at Angel Fire's altitude, you seldom need it. Basically, you get the idea that the rooms here are strictly a place to sleep and dump your luggage before charging outside to engage in whatever violent activity rings you bell. I'm sure that the Lodge is a fine place to stay in winter. In summer, it's pretty good for a night--but BYOS!* (*Bring Your Own Soap!)

What a wonderful place to stay while visiting beautiful New Mexico. Our host Sarah called us this morning after our first night to ensure we had all the comforts of home to make our three-day stay memorable. Thank you, Sarah!

This was my first time visiting Angelfire, or any ski resort for that matter. And it was spring break on top of that. So I'm assuming not the best time to get a good first impression.Stopped in to the Village Haus during the lunch rush to take a break and grab some food. It was super busy, and had a hard time finding a table. Basically we moved in on a table as the last group was getting up. As we ate, we noticed that at least a half a dozen tables were groups of mom's camped out, holding the tables while their precious little urchins were out skiing. The prices at the Village Haus reflect that they certainly know they have a captured audience. The charge for a turkey wrap, frito pie and medium drink was $42. But, I guess it was better than leaving, and coming back, so.....Dietary restrictions: Not many restricted diet options available. This is more of an indoor concession stand, with a bar, than a restaurant.

The services were outstanding. The most noteworthy quality that I observed was great attitude. Your staff demonstrated a feeling of gratitude to be chosen by us to come to Angel Fire. I was particularly impressed with Sarah at the front desk, who always had answers and solutions that accompanied her smile. She guided me toward alleviating high altitude effects with simple solutions that worked for me and pointed me in the right direction for a number things such as oxygen bottle, training and equipment storage. She is certainly a valuable asset to Angel Fire Resort and to your happy guests. Thank you for a great vacation to a first-time skier. Ray Rodríguez Lampasas, Texas

From ok but of course incredibly expensive.

While the prices seem high to some, if you compare to the ridiculous amounts that you pay at Colorado ski resorts, this is a bargain! Great selection of beers, and the green chili Bloody Mary hits the spot. I would love to see more chairs in the sun.

This was our second visit to Angel Fire Resort, and we’re very pleased with our experience. We are a family of young, beginner skiers, and this resort provides the perfect opportunity for us to ski in/ski out with minimal hassle and helpful customer service. From the booking experience (complete with ski school reservations, equipment rental, lift tickets, and nearby activity reservations) to departure, we love Angel Fire Resort. Our main focus is quality time with kiddos - and this resort delivers! And special shout-out to front desk pros Kevin L and Sarah - they were so helpful and hospitable.

We had a wonderful ski trip and stay with our family, which included 3 teenagers in January. The staff especially Ariana at the front desk were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We booked our ski rentals when we made our hotel reservations and it was quick and convenient picking them up on our first morning. The main ski lift is a short walk from the hotel and the skiing was terrific as it had snowed prior to our arrival. It was wonderful getting in the hot tub at the end of the day and the hotel restaurant food was delicious which was great as we didn’t have to go out to dine every evening. We will definitely be back!!

We really loved our stay here and Sarah at the front desk was amazing, always smiling and friendly. I would rate this resort a 10 plus, especially how we were treated by Sarah! Carol & Russell Whatley

WOW! The best hospitality we have encountered throughout the world! Not only were Brooke and Deborah amazing, but everyone was extremely kind and helpful. From 3:50am and beyond all employees were attentive and willing to meet our needs! They even made calls before and after we arrived to ensure that we had everything we needed. The lodge has events on numerous days to enhance the experience like s'mores and hot chocolate! We can't wait to see what is happening this summer at The Lodge! We will definitely stay here anytime we travel to Angel Fire!

We had a fabulous time. Sarah at the front desk was such a huge help, and so nice! Our room was HUGE and the atrium was nice. I enjoyed looking at the mountain in the mornings. It was my daughters first time skiing and she loved it! The fire works on New Year’s Eve and the torch parade were such an awesome touch! We will be back. All of the front desk were very helpful and nice! I want to shout out Sarah again, such a pleasure meeting you, awesome job!
