Village Haus Restaurant & Bar

We arrived at Angel fire on August 3rd and checked out August 5th. The room was good. I noticed that they were renovating one whole section of the hotel and I'm guessing everything's getting upgraded. First impression was the unit was very much in need of remodeling. Furniture and bathrooms were very outdated. But once I got past the first impression, I really enjoyed the unit. It was nice and roomy, the view was nice, the water pressure was incredible, and the front desk staff were eager to be helpful.

The very best thing about the Lodge is the desk clerk, Sarah, who welcomes travelers as if they are her best friends! We arrived hours earlier than check-in, yet Sarah quickly found us a room already prepared. Her smile and genuine enjoyment of working with people made our day. That said, the Lodge at Angel Fire in summer has a few problems, especially in the housekeeping department.
