Great reviews led me there, and Aceq lived up to them. A very creative chef! I appreciated some of the items -- ordered most of the small plates -- more than others, but still five stars for food because even if a dish didn't totally hit the mark it was very interesting. Nothing here is something you've had before, which says it all!

What a wonderful meal! the service was superb, with our server helping us order the right dishes for our tastes. the food was delicious and well-plated.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. Wonderful service and magnificent food. We shared the steak...it was quite large so that worked well. Also shared the elote and it was great. Mole was the most flavorful I've ever had. Key lime pie for dessert also shared and excellent wine and drinks. A great experience. We will be back!!

Visiting Taos from OKC. I discovered the restaurant's existence from a Google maps “restaurants in my area” search. After reading the menu, and reviews, I knew this is where I wanted to dine! My partner and I LOVED everything about this place! We will be back next time we're in Taos

We really like ACEQ and would go there more often but for the noise level. Last night midway through our dinner the restaurant was just over half full yet the noise level was uncomfortable; we were at a 2-top and had a difficult time conversing with each other and being understood. Compounding the noise inducing environment is the selection of background music (last night “the blues”, the visit before Jimi Hendrix) which is played too loud to qualify as background music. The place has its own inbred energy and does not need amped up music to enhance the dining experience. Instead, the owners should tone down the music and invest in some noise abatement that actually works. If the noise issue would be solved our ratings would be highest level all around, and we would dine there much more frequently. Of the 10-12 restaurants we regularly patronize in Taos, ACEQ is clearly the noisiest environment.

This restaurant is in the small village of Arroo Seco. The wait staff was great (Amanda) but because of the small kitchen it took quite a while for the food to come. They charge $4.00 per table as a tip to the kitchen which, to me, means that they are not paying their staff enough. Overall the experience was very different and good.

What a pleasant surprise! The short drive out of Taos to Aceq is more than worth it! A great dining experience!

Josiah, by far, is one of the best servers. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We would come back to visit just to have him as our server.

A niche food shop with an incredible selection of boutique and mainstream foods. If healthy food is on your list, get it here! I highly recommend it!

The green Chile tasted like gravy sauce.
This may be a great for people that can't eat spicy. But I was really hoping for a more authentic Chile experience

Warm, welcoming atmosphere- Amanda was such a joyful endearing host and made it extra special. The food was absolutely delicious and it was hands down the best dining experience that I’ve ever had in New Mexico- worth our five hour drive to Taos (and 20 min drive to Arroyo Seco).
