The service was fantastic. The hostess was so friendly. She stopped by to say hi throughout our meal. Our server, Charlie, was amazing. We wanted to be his friend by the end of the night. The drinks and the food were awesome. The portobello dish and the duck dish were top rate. We got to ring the gong to celebrate the kitchen!

Bouillabaisse. Although French chef's might scoff at it , their creation was much more to my liking. With scallops, shrimp, and mussels. And I have lived in south France for 24 years. And they stock my favorite whiskey Laphroaig..

Complete experience.A varied menu with unconventional options, that air that restaurants in Taos need. The portion of duck confit was incredible, the soft meat and the puree with the blueberry glaze accompany the dish very well.If you liked the food, you are welcome to ring the gong very loudly and let the kitchen team know that way.

This restaurant is a gem and a place to experience when visiting Taos. The quality of the ingredients was immediately apparent and the composition of dishes was superb. The menu is creative and all items were executed super well. What’s more, their staff are warm and professional and made the dining experience super fun. Genuine people serving genuine food that’s sourced locally.Vegetarian options: They are well created meals and not those ‘after thought’ type vegetarian options you’ll find in some restaurants.Dietary restrictions: My husband is vegan and had a few yummy choices to ponder.

Aceq is a great place! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. You cannot go wrong coming here. Everything I have tried has been delicious! The only downside is that it can get noisy at high occupancy.Parking: Parking is limited and can fill up quickly.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menu available and the restaurant is willing to adjust meals, within reason, to adapt to various palates.

Phenomenal food and service. Great flavor profiles. Quality ingredients. Attentive service for our group of 6. Well crafted drinks. The Taos area has a lot of fantastic restaurants and ASEQ is right there at the top.

The food and service are quite good, and we really like having a good alternative in our neighborhood. The one factor that deters us and many of our friends from dining there more often is the noise level. When the restaurant becomes more than half full the ambient noise is such that it becomes very difficult to have a conversation even at a two-top. The interior of the restaurant is all hard surfaces, including a brick floor. That environment, coupled with the amped up “background” music, amplifies all sounds to annoying level. There is a relatively easy and inexpensive fix that could significantly lower the noise level that has been employed in other spaces in taos: the installation of cloth-covered foam panels on the ceiling. Lowering the noise level would create more of a dining experience instead of rushing through a meal at a noisy bar.

Great food that was well prepared and served. The noise level was a distraction. Dining area has many windows but surely some sound deadening measures could be instituted. We are older but it is not somewhere to pick for a quiet night out.

Impressive. The attention to detail from the service to the presentation to the taste was remarkable. Our group of 8 has traveled all over the world and we would put our experience at ACEQ at the top of the list for service and food quality. Start with the dates and bone marrow and explore the menu from there. The cocktails and dessert are exceptional. We can't wait to return!

ACEQ was rockin and the food was very good with a distinctive flavor. We loved the corn ribs, meatballs and even the house salad was unique. Entries were on par as well. Finished off with the peanut butter pie which was not as dense as you might think, actually not dense at all. Very yummy.

We have liked to come to Aceq over the years but not this time. The noise level was so intense that with a group of 5 we could not hear half of the table. Two participants dialed out from the conversations despite their hearing aids. It was unpleasant to say the least. The food was mediocre. The sauce of the bourginnione and the portabello mushroom looked like it sat under the warmer too long or there was a starch in it. The bread was not crusty and savory. The truffle fries were limp and the cheese on top not spread all over, so only a few bites were enjoyable. There were hardly enough meatballs but a ton of sauce in the dish. We passed for dessert because we didn't want to be more disappointed and couldn't wait to leave the restaurant due to the unpleasant noise. Not sure when and if we will return, sadly.
