We have been going to Sabroso for three years or so. Last year we went a couple of times and we were very disappointed. I recently read a review that things were better. Let me tell you Saturday night they were fabulous and on point. Everything was wonderful. The beet salad was fresh and lightly dressed, the clam special was super flavorful, and the we also had the NY Strip special with a shrimp and crab sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sauce was light and really complimented the steak. The veggie sides of carrots and potatoes were perfectly crisp. The one thing about dinner this time versus last year is the chef came out and checked on every table personally. He took a moment to chat with each table and inquire about their meal. Kudos to Sabroso for making such a fabulous turnaround. You have definitely won our business again. We cannot wait to come back soon.

Outstanding! We thought we were going to duck in and have a marg. Welllll what a surprise !! Live music , one of the BEST margaritas we have ever had. Our server was fantastic . Knowledgeable, courteous, and Jonny on the spot ! I had flatiron steak. The ancho sauce was delicious, and steak was perfectly cooked for my medium rare request. Hubs had the beef sliders. Filling and flavorful. We can't wait to return!

The employees are nice and the food tastes good. Including the crab cakes which I recommend.

Made a reservation a few days before we came to town, got a confirmation email from open table the day before, which we confirmed...showed up to the restaurant on 2/16, Friday night at 6:30 for our reservation and the restaurant was pitch dark, not a car in the lot. Tried calling the restaurant several times, no answer. Checked their website, said they are open. Tried to contact open table, but apparently you only get chat bots now. All in all, I would say, I will never go back to Sabroso, and I probably will never use OpenTable again either .

Now we know why reservations were wide open for this restaurant when all others were completely booked. Bread was good. The Alfredo Pasta with chicken was good. The French Onion Soup pretty awful - a luke warm-congealed-thickness onion soup in a large bowl with a large crouton and a thin slice of cheese lightly melted over it. Not at all a traditional French Onion Soup. The Chicken Pot Pie, which the server said was very popular, when I asked if it was good, should have been a clue that popular and good aren't necessarily the same. The puff pastry on top, which was very good, was really the only part I ate. The BBQ Ribs were bone dry with little flavor and even less meat on them. We would not return.

Food just so-so. Service very good. Overall not Near as good as the past. Probably won't return. When the sidewalk to the front door isn't even swept that might be your sign.

We had a reservation to dine here, and when we arrived there was a sign on the door saying they were closed. Appeared to be staff in there, but they offered no explanation. Then I get seated confirmation from Open Table. Strange situation.

We had a reservation and they seated us in the bar anyway. The table was near the front door which blasted us with freezing air when anyone came in. 2 of the 3 entrees were inedible. Dry, overcooked prime rib with tasteless horseradish cream. Overcooked burger and sweet potato fries that smelled like piss. The margaritas are overrated. They cut the check in half but that was even too much for that trainwreck. We're waiting for the food poisoning

Worst service I've had in years. Took 35 minutes before even acknowledged our table, never refilled water or drinks, another 90 minutes to get our food. Ordered pot pie WITHOUT green chili but it had so much chili that it was inedible. I told waitress and she shrugged and walked away. A decent restaurant would have taken off the bill since I didn't eat any of it. Never going there again. Plenty of places in taos with good service to support instead.

We were extremely excited about our reservation for birthday/friends giving dinner but it was quickly downed by the service. Our server didn't introduce himself, was hovering for our orders the second we sat down. Once we panic ordered drinks, it was close to 30 min before he returned for our order. In the hour and half it took to get our food, we finished our drinks and bread without refills. We were starving to say the least and when the food appeared it was sub par. The "filet" I ordered was not seasoned, the vegetables were not roasted and the sauce saved the dish. My husband ordered baby back ribs and they were beyond charred. The Mac and cheese was good. We were offered dessert and for fear of adding to this experience we politely declined. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We had an out of town guest and, as usual, went to Sabroso for dinner. The food is always great, so that's what we expected and that's what we got. Our guest was really impressed. This is someone who knows good food.

What a wonderful find. We had the fish and chips, as well as the pot pie.It was scrumptious, and the atmosphere was wonderful, service impeccable. My only regret is that we hadn't tried it sooner!

What a wonderful discovery! We decided to try it for the fish & chips, wow were we surprised. What a beautiful setting, and the wait staff was so attentive and friendly. We had to ask for the manager to thank her personally and tell her what an awesome place this is and how great our waiter Dylan was. Next time in Taos, this will be our first stop!

Dropped in for an early dinner our last night in the area. We were seated right away in the bar. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The wait staff was attentive and our drink orders were taken quickly. We had the Chicken pot pie, grilled pork chop, and the ribeye. Everyone was completely satisfied with our meals. My ribeye was prepared perfectly and the fresh veggies were the perfect counterpoint to the steak. We lingered as long as we dared to enjoy the live music provided by Jeremiah Glauser. Overall it was the perfect end to a day of exploring all that the Taos area has to offer. This place is a must for any trip to the area.
