Los Agaves Restaurant - Mexican Food Jalisco Style

Terrible service. The hostess tried to seat us in the bar without even asking. We had children with us. I told her we wanted to be in the restaurant not the bar. Not very good food. The waitress brought 1 plate out at a time with at least 10 minutes or more in between. It took a long time for all of us to be served. No one’s food was very good. My granddaughters tacos were awful. They were dripping grease, lots of it. We asked another waitress to send our waitress over because ours didn’t come back. We told her about the tacos and she said they were supposed to be that way. Another waitress came over while ours was still there about the greasy tacos and said they are always like that. We asked for the manager. He brought a new plate of tacos which were better. I’m glad the manager replaced that plate but overall the experience was terrible. Bad service, mediocre food and extremely greasy tacos.

Need to update your prices on the online menu got the 25 taco platter says $42 got there and it was $60 . A 18 dollar jump in price is wild

Expensive for very mid food. Best deal is lunch buffet which actually pretty good. Sea food can be good too.

Don't order the hamburger for a child.
Meat on a bum only and raw fries.
The waitress took the fries bake to finish, but there still raw only warmer.

The salsa, tacos and rice were 10/10 amazing
Now when it came to the enchiladas there sauce didn't have much flavor to them I wouldn't say there my favorite enchiladas. They were nice and hot tho.
The chile relleno had a very thick soggy breading on it so not my favorite. And my waiter only came to the table one time to take my order and I had to call her and ask her for a refill on my drink. And she never brought our check we had to wait for someone else to check us out. And keep in mind this was at around 3:30 so the restaurant was very empty they weren't very busy at all. Probably won't be back. But good luck to you guys hopefully it gets better

First time eating at this establishment. I for the most part not too impressed. The gorditas were not authentic and lacked flavor. The salsa for the chips taste just like picante sauce from a can. I would've preferred homemade fresh. The other salsa they give you with your food tasted like it was past it's freshness. The beans and rice were on point. The guacamole had either jalapeño or serrano pepper which caught my company by surprise. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. There's plenty of parking and very clean.

Quick meal as we traveled to Artesia, NM to see the town our daughter & family are moving to next year. This place had good Mexican food & the atmosphere was authentic. Husband & I both enjoyed our meals. Caution- the salsa dip was BURNING spicy hot! Should have a warning. Service ok. Has a separate bar area which looked nice. Hope to go back with rest of the family when they move to the area.,
