Normally Pete’s is stellar, however, tonight was an absolute disappointment. The ground beef in my tacos was burnt, dry and heavily over salted. The green chile had no sauciness to it which is something we look for when we order stuffed sopapillas. And when did asking for an extra 2oz salsa container for said tacos come with an up charge? Pete’s is one of the few places for true New Mexican, quality food in Belen but they really missed the mark.

We were just cruising around town and happened to find Pete restaurant. We sat outside on the patio, and the day was beautiful . The table was dusty for the night before. The food and service were excellent. Nice hidden gem for sure.
