Salad was wilted and gross. Salsa below average. Beans super salty rellenos super soggy. Green Chile was good.
Expensive for size and quality.

Worst Chile rellenos I have ever had in my life. Burnt lumpy and nasty. I couldn't even tell what it was at first. I used to like eating here. My husband got us 2 plates to go to bring home. Nasty, I will never eat here again. The last time we dined in the waitress was so rude to us. Today was my last chance for this place. Never again. 🤮 Yuck!

This was a beautiful restaurant. Dining room has cool old country tables and chairs. The salsa tastes fresh and delicious. Chips were fresh. Green chile cheese nchilada dinner was so good. Sopapillas were fresh and good. Nothing bad about it 🤌 There is also an outdoor area to sit when the weather gets warmer.

This restaurant used to be one of my absolute favorites — great food, friendly staff, and an atmosphere that always felt welcoming. Unfortunately, everything changed after the new owner took over. What was once a reliable and enjoyable place has become a huge disappointment.
The quality of the food has dropped noticeably. Dishes that were once flavorful now taste bland or poorly prepared, they now charged extra for chips and salsa 😂
It’s sad to see such a good restaurant lose what made it special. I truly hope the new owner listens to customer feedback and brings back the standards that kept loyal customers coming for years. Until then, I won’t be returning

I come to Pete’s Cafe every month for the Navajo Taco Plate with Red Chile. They have been preparing New Mexican food since 1949. You are greeted with a fresh red salsa and chips as you are seated. Friendly staff, flavorful food and great prices. A very nice experience. The red chile is superb!

Are you kidding me? This place was horrible, horrible, horrible! These guys must’ve hired people to write. Good reviews About this place. The service was OK. The restaurant was nice, but the food was terrible. The green chili was absolutely laughable. There was nothing but water with chilies in it. Even the beans they serve up our water down. The chili rellano was so bad I couldn’t finish it. It had way too much crust on it, and it was overcooked. My wife’s tacos had burnt hamburger in it. I’m not kidding when I say I would actually rather eat a Taco Bell. Chances are you won’t believe my review and how bad this café was so I’m not gonna try to convince you not to go. I’m just reserving my right to say I told you so.

It's been several years since we last ate at Pete's. Same great food and friendly service. Not much else has changed. Large off-street parking with wheelchair places. Say hello to the sweet Santa Domingo lady tribe member selling her homemade jewelry in the lobby; necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Her work is well done and beautiful. I ate the senior chili relleno with rice and beans. There was an up charge for the 2nd side, but it was delicious. Pete's now closes at 7pm.
Family dinner experience was wonderful.
