Sol & Chile Kitchen is a hidden gem in Belen. Food is fresh, delicious and great quality. Chicharrón is so good and tortillas yummy. The Chile Relleno was a wonderful experience because it was the first time having a real homemade Relleno in a restaurant. Many say it is the best Mexican food in Belen, reminding of home southern New Mexico. Breakfast is solid, with a customized omelett and Sol's Breakfast Skillet, both very good. The green chile on the side is home made. Service is excellent, friendly and prompt. Even when an order was wrong, the tamale that replaced it was delicious and fresh handmade daily. Menudo is served on Sundays and natilla dessert looks enticing. Every visit is consistently excellent, every dish fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
