The Range Cafe is beyond cute...it is adorable in a kitschy way. There is art everywhere along with some amazing bronze sculptures...really impressive. Anyway, the food is the main event. We liked our experience so much that we came back a couple of days later. The first time around: I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with sunny-side-up eggs...which were perfectly cooked. Drew had the cheese enchiladas...which he enjoyed. We shared an order of their Blue Corn Blueberry Pancakes...OMG!!! These pancakes were amazing...filled and topped with fresh blueberries and also topped with pinons...to die for. The service is excellent as is the food. As I said prior...we liked The Range Cafe so much that we came back a couple of days later. For that experience I had the Veggie Omelette...which I wolfed down and finished every-single-delish-bite. Drew had the Huevos Rancheros which he said was excellent. And, yes of course we shared an order of their delish Blue Corn Blueberry Pancakes...yes, to die for. Your tastebuds will burst with joy. The food...the service...the atmosphere is awesome.

Having Linner. 😊. Maryann had the chicken chimichanga, Justin the Santa Fe Burger double patty with green Chile, and I had the chile rellenos Christmas style. Appetizer was deep fried green chile. Dessert was to go for Maryann and I. Mexican Latte cake, I had the vanilla coconut cream pie, and the Créme Brûlée for Justin. 😊. Our server, Jerry was top notch.

Had chicken chile enchiladas and my husband had tacos. Only complaint was too much meat in tacos. Very tasty with excellent service at the bar. Drinks kept filled and food was excellent

We were on the patio on account of having our dog, the only diners outside (hot day!). Patio service was somewhat of an afterthought. No S&P, i had to go inside to get a salt shaker, for instance. Green chile chicken enchiladas looked pretty and were very filling, however both the entree and the veg/grain sides on the plate were only lukewarm, although the playe itself was too hot to hold onto. The corn tortilla portion was underhydrated ( not enough green chile sauce) and therefore sort of raw-tasting. The entire meal was somewhat bland, especially for northern NM cuisine! But it was all fresh, the calabacitas in particular were good. I would come back, but would try something different on the menu.

Brought here by friends last night as this is one of their favorite restaurants in this particular location, the original, is one that seems to be most consistent in their opinion. Prices are average, drink selection, especially beers good. Desserts looked tasty, but we did not try as we were too full. Standard options of enchiladas, chili, relleno , green chili stew. I thought it was pretty decent, wife thought her enchiladas were fairly bland. Our friends stated that because this place is popular with tourist they don’t make things too spicy – unfortunate. I would say there was enough food, but in comparison to other similar restaurants, portion size is probably somewhat smaller than average. It was fun to look at all the different signed plates on the wall of well-known people who have visited. If you are close by, worth a visit. Would not go out of my way to try and eat here has there probably a number of equivalent restaurants serving the same food in the city.

Every time we visit NM, we return to The Range Cafe because it is always consistently a prefect meal, no matter what we order. This trip we had the Lobo Club and the Salmon Berry Salad. If you are hungry, hungry go for the club and if you want light, but filling go for the salad. Service is always cheery and speedy. Parking is on the street or in the back or across the street in a parking lot. Plenty to choose from, just like their menu!!! Tasty red sangria, but the real treat is always their dessert selection. We had to have the key lime pie which we vote the best-even better the one we got in Key West. FL! You won't be disappointed in eating at The Range!

This is a very good Restaurant, many locals eat here and it's reasonably priced, great food and service. We are from Santa Fe and when we travel to Albuquerque go here if hungry for Lunch or Breakfast.

Consistently good family style food. Great drinks, casual environment. Diverse menu. Choice of Southwest and American foods, large portions, consistently delicious....

Four years I used to get the chimichanga plate It was full of meat and delicious. Now they are coming out with very little meat, not much more than a fried tortilla.

Most people agree that the range has declined in quality and service since Covid. A basic breakfast entrée and coffee is 20 bucks. That is very expensive. Also the plates used to be very hot but that is no longer true amd the food is often lukewarm. Sad because this place used to be fantastic.

At lunch recently I ordered their artichoke quesadilla. I wanted something vegetarian and not too much food. It looked average when it came to the table- but after a few bites I realized there was no artichoke in it. I opened it up and there was no more than two tablespoons of finely chopped artichoke- in the whole quesadilla. It was mostly cheese. A real disappointment. The salsa was really chunky with big chunks of canned tomatoes- not good at all.

Absolutely the best pork adobada burritos! So much I always take half home. Delicious margaritas, fun atmosphere and the chocolate cream pie is amazing!

This spot was really a wonderful surprise. I was looking to have a Christmas breakfast burrito before I left New Mexico. Went with a colleague to discuss a product that would be useful. What caught our attention walking in was the amazingly colorful foyer full of mural-like moments all over the wall and the counter front. Then it was a stroll down into the bakery area which had its own bar. The baked goods were on display in all their glory and they looked quite appetizing. We were seated in the main dining area and but just out of curiosity you should explored the venue because there's so much art on the walls and so many creative moments throughout the venue… And there is more than one dining area. Turns out our table was next to other people who had also made the 20 minute track from Tamaya Hyatt because this place had popped up several times on there foodie searches. That was good news. The second dining area is dominated by a fantastic bar, eye-catching chandelier, café tables, and a fantastic corner stage that would be, frankly, perfect for karaoke. I say this because we had to drive 35 minutes to Albuquerque from that area in order to get access karaoke the night before, so I told the waitress the already iconic Range Café could become absolutely famous for its packed karaoke nights if they offered it even one night a week (hope Management is taking note). She said they did have live music nights. I highly recommend catering to the karaoke community -- just wait for the word to spread. We ordered a pickle juice bloody Mary because that was irresistible, and a scotch ale. Main courses were the blue corn chile relleno and of course the Christmas burrito. Asked for extra green chile to be put in the burrito. The drinks came quickly and the food was not long to follow. The plates were heavy laden and very satisfying and I could definitely see the appeal of the Christmas breakfast burrito. The red sauce at the café was lighter more watery than the red sauce I'm used to. The blue corn chile relleno was superlative. A wow. Likely the best have had in NM. If we had room for dessert, I would've liked to try the pecan rolls or a slice of cake. Next time. Service was excellent. And there was hospitality throughout the restaurant and into the expansive gift shop.

When I was researching where to get the best green chile cheeseburger in New Mexico, one blogger had the one served at this restaurant as #1 in their top 10 list. They call it a Santa Fe Line Burger and it only costs $14.95. For an extra $1.50, I upgraded my side to Truffle Fries instead of regular fries, sweet potato fries, or a side salad. One pickle sandwich slice is also provided on the plate with this order. This burger is really tasty. You will not be disappointed. Just look at the pic I've uploaded. You know you want it. I sat at the bar and was treated to wonderful and exceptional service by the bartender on duty, Miss Alicia. I enjoyed an Elevated IPA ($6.50) on draft from La Cumbre Brewing Co. It was the perfect compliment to the green chile cheeseburger. I would have ordered another of these excellent beers but I wanted to get to Santa Fe before it got too late in the afternoon. FREE parking can be found at the surface lot directly across the street from the restaurant on Camino Del Pueblo, which is Spanish for village road.
