Both my husband and had Mexican food. My husband had soft tacos but upgraded to steak. Full of gristle. I had enchiladas and asked for all beans instead of rice and beans. My plate came with both rice and beans. Ate only half my plate because I felt sick to my stomach. No one asked if we wanted anything more or how was our meal. I would definitely not go back. The decor was really interesting and the best thing about the place.

Whites City is the only place to stay and this is your only dinner option. Burger was pricey, tasteless and dry - tasted like an old frozen thin patty. Wished McDonald’s was nearby!

If you hate yourself, eat here. Service is unfriendly and extremely slow. I'm pretty sure they don't actually want customers. We came in for lunch with a group of 15. Mix of kids and adults on our way to visit the caverns. Large restaurant, lots of open seating. Only four other tables had customers. A table of six came in right after us, were seated but never waited on so they walked out. I could be more understanding if they were busy and the servers were obviously trying to do their best but that was not the case. Food was mostly cold. Once the food was delivered we never saw the server again.

After spending the morning 750' underground in the Carlsbad Caverns we stopped here to get a bite to eat. My wife had the 1/4 lb cheese burger and I had the taco plate. Both were very good, I would recommend this to anyone.

We were part of the party of 15 mentioned in the review below and I second everything she said. They never finished setting up seating for us so we had to, the food was fairly quick but service was so slow and we were made to feel like we were imposing on them just being there. The guacamole was tasteless and weirdly creamy and the chips tasted of rancid oil. If you need to eat somewhere coming and going to the Carlsbad Caverns I'd eat at the park or in Carlsbad. Give this place a miss!

Literally the worst place my family and I have ate. Food was “ok”, nothing to brag about.. but the wait and the staff doesn’t even deserve one star in my opinion. The staff were not friendly, and didn’t seem to care about their jobs. It’s so sad to see such a cute place with so much potential go to waste!

There was one waitress for the whole restaurant. Took about 15 minites to get drinks. Food was okay, not anything rave about. Wings were good and chicken tenders and fries were good.

I ordered cheese enchiladas. I got 3 corn tortillas with cheese between them. Despite the poor presentation, it tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, I was still hungry after I finished.
Great place. Definitely a must-stop-by-n-eat here if you're visiting the caverns.

Good cafe food, Mexican and American options, I had the grilled chicken with smothered veggies and would recommend it. They also have nice clean restrooms to stop at and a southwestern atmosphere.

The server said they were out of guacamole but then she came back and said she made some fresh herself. The beans and rice were also really good and not the average bland mush you get everywhere else. I think there were only 3 people working and the girl who seated us was also our server and was also working in the chicken. Things took a little time but not any more than usual and it was worth it. This place has a great atmosphere and it seemed like a fun place to be and relax. Food was very filling and the price was cheaper than I expected so I left a big tip. Better than anything you will find in Carlsbad for 1/2 the price with friendly staff. When we go back to visit we will eat here at least once a day! Thank you!
