We got seated right away which is always good anywhere you go, the server seemed like he had a lot on his plate and we were sitting there for almost 30 mins before we got our order taken, by the time the food came out we were ready to eat, they got our order wrong and tried to charge us for something we didn't receive but had ordered, which was corrected before we paid the extra charge. I feel like there could definitely have been better service as well as attention to the order taken, it didn't seem overly busy at the time but he did say he was shorthanded, and that being said we had only seen him one time when he brought the menus, the rest of the time it was another server, we also heard him complaining about customers within hearing distance which in my opinion is very unprofessional. The food was good overall but kinda cold but I dont think we'll be back anytime soon.

Hostess was extremely rude to several of the people waiting and even refused to take some people's names to wait for a table. Ordered surf and turf. Took about 40min to get it. Steak was almost blue (ordered medium-rare) and cold. The steamed broccoli was basically raw. Mashed potatoes and shrimp were hot and fresh. Only real highlight was my waitress Karen. Was very friendly and attentive despite how hectic the place seemed to be (seemed understaffed). She even made a joke about how they needed to butcher the cow since the food took so long. Left her a %22 tip and I hope she didn't have to split it with anyone.

We came in for dinner on our vacation, Our waitress was extremely kind and understanding, but on the other hand everything we requested like dressing, took over 5 minutes to get until we had to wave our server as she was talking to her friends. She told us she told someone to bring it over to us as it should be brought quicker. One meal came out and we waited over 15 minutes for a second meal. Not to mention it took 10 minutes for one salad and another 20 for the next salad (both were ordered at the same time). Not one of our meal came over together. We also got fries as a side with one of the plates and we never received it. The steak was extremely dry, overcooked and crumbly. None of the workers here seemed happy or looked even the slightest bit excited to be at work as our host didn’t smile one time. The waitress told us the manager would be right over but it took over 10 minutes, As well we went to the restroom to see a worker on her phone and touching herself up. When the manger finally arrived over to our table, she gave us $5 for our steak being horrible and missing our fries. On the bright side she took the steak off as we didn’t even eat it. But at least the chips and salsa were good…

Well, it's Carlsbad, so always full from 5 pm and on just like every other restaurant in town, understandably. But 2nd poor visit, fool me twice shame on me I guess. Waitress forgot silverware, even after asking for some. Beer wasnt much better than room temperature when I recieved it. Then my medium-rare steak shows up beyond blue rare. A bic lighter could've cooked it more than they did. I understand it's always a busy place and life happens but that was just too much.

I just be there 2 minutes ago they had me waiting for 20 minutes and no one paid attention to me I was alone at the table and they didn't have many people
I was hesitant to eat here after reading the reviews, but my son really wanted Chili’s—so we gave it a shot. And honestly, it wasn’t nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, service was a little slow, but the staff was friendly, and the food came out hot and tasted good. It’s not a five-star dining experience, but come on—it’s Chili’s. You get what you pay for.
Keep in mind this is a tourist town with limited dining options, and everyone’s here at once after visiting the caverns. The team is clearly doing their best, and I think the reviews are way too harsh. Cut them some slack—it’s a decent, affordable meal with nice people trying to keep up.

I order online weekly that being said i tried ordering online today because i am on a tight schedule driving back out to work and no one answers the phone no one even picks it up to say be right with you only to say be right with you. NOTHING then it hangs up on me more than once cause it has a time limit i suppose. so I get there to order in person and the line is out the door. This place needs to get new management carlsbad nm is not that busy of a town for this kind of lack of service. get your people working like they should be food runners waiters and cooks I'm done dealing with this incompetence GET NEW MANAGERS
