My wife and I LOVE El Nopal, we were so sad when they closed their restaurant but super happy to hear they were back in Carlsbad with a food truck! Wife loves the Flautas as for me the Quesabirria tacos and the COMSOME are so good but let me tell you the secret gem this place has... it's the Green Chile Double Cheeseburger! So whether you want Mexican or a good Cheeseburger, El Nopal is the place!
Tried your food for the first time tonight...soooo delicious!!! We will definitely be back a lot!!
Food was delicious, large portions and affordable price. the waiter Nalia is nice and helpful.. my picky 7 year old loved the food as well! Hope this helps! 100% recommended!!
tried this place twice and they delivered great food good quality it was absolutely amazing thanks elva for the great service .a must try
The only place in Albuquerque that has real barbacoa on the menu and the right level of heat in their salsa. I’ll definitely be coming back for more options on the menu
The atmosphere was great tv’s in the background and music too the food was great I ordered a burger with fries the fries were golden brown and the burger was so juicy you can taste ? all the flavors and service is really nice and good must try again??? This place deserves a Michelin star

Paid $57 Flautas were super good, have some spice to them, so keep that in mind, my Daughter and son really liked the pastor tacos(3&8 age) hubby had the Torta sorry I didn’t get a picture of it unwrapped, I tried it and also liked it but thought the flautas were better. The funnel fries could have bin a little more on the plate I liked them. (I would give them a 5 out of 10)hubby liked the chimichanga strawberry with cream cheese filling in the middle, for me the filling was bland. Overall would eat here again. My fave was the flautas and hubbys was the chimichanga.

No AC, so that was a star, No ice for drink, another star, food portion was a bit smaller than I've had at most places.. I tablespoon of guacamole in pic for comparison. Food tasted ok.

The person at the counter barely even knew the menu. When asked about a TORTA, he said it was descent size. Ended up being very small with barely anything in it. And the service was bad, they never came back to the table to give refills or even check on the table

Great food. Called them to place an order, someone answered and then just set the phone down and never came back. Went in to order birria quesadillas, got home to find out I only received 3 of the 4 tacos.

Wonderful local restaurant with friendly front end service and delicious food. If you think it's taking a while to get you food - just wait. When you taste the food you will understand each dish is prepared from scratch and the flavor is New Mexico NOT TexMex! So good!! And worth the wait. Definitely recommend, excellent restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: This restaurant will custom build dishes ? children loved it
