Looked forward to a hot french dip… waited 30 minutes… no food… had to leave for another appointment - received food to go after several requests. Food was cold… unable to dip due to traveling. Staff was not friendly.

It really is discouraging when you order a French dip sandwich and you don't get the au jus go with it and then they have to remake a sandwich because the kitchen staff doesn't watch what they're doing

So whoever works on the day shift at 4:00 PM is horrible with customer service and getting the order right. I was the only person in the restaurant and ordered to go. 25 mins later I take my sandwich home to find out its totally wrong. I wish I could post a picture. I tried this place once before to only be disappointed that and this time. Along with that when I call they kept hanging up. I hope whoever the manager isnt responsible for this

Came in at 6:00pm and didn't get my order till 6:30pm. I approached the counter and asked how much longer for my order and the guy at the counter told me they would try and get my order next. There was also a line of people waiting for a while to get their orders taken and no one would acknowledge them or anything. Very disappointed and horrible customer service.

Very very poor service! The franchise owner of this one in Carlsbad really needs to pay attention to how his employees work and treat their customers. Their attitudes are horrible! They need work lessons from the one in Las Cruces! I ordered online so I woudn't have to wait 30 min for my order. My order literally sat on back counter for 15 min, almost had to walk behind counter and get it my dam self! Definitely will not order from here again!

Tonight, the line was too the door. I decided to place a pick-up order on my phone to see if I could complete the order before getting to the counter. Yep,.I made it easily.
I went to a table to wait, and noted they were announcing to-go order names as they came out. After 25 minutes, they noticed i was waiting and asked my name. The order was ready but they hadn't called my name.or put the order on the shelf for to-go orders.
I have had extended waits here enough that I'll go spend my time and money somewhere else from now on.
Came during my lunch and waited in line, I was there for around 10 minutes and not one of us was acknowledged.
I had to leave because I could only imagine how long the food would take to actually come out.

I put in an order online to be picked up at 6:00. I arrived on time and sat in the drive-thru for 30 minutes. I was blocked in by 3 other cars so I couldn't move. The cars behind me left so I was able to back up, park, and go inside where I waited another 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. I finally asked someone for help and was given my order only to discover that it was incomplete. I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to complete my order all while listening to the staff complain about making my missing sandwich on different bread because they were out of the bread that is usually used. I do not recommend this Mcalisters.

I really enjoy the food at McAlister’s Deli in Carlsbad, New Mexico — it’s always fresh and delicious. However, the service behind the counter could use some improvement. The staff at the front seems to change frequently, and usually, there’s only one person running the register while the others are in the kitchen. This creates long wait times, especially during lunch hours when it’s consistently busy. It would really help if they had more front-of-house staff during peak times to keep things running smoothly.

Horrendous. We’re from out of town and tried to eat here. We were told rudely that it would be a 45 minute wait for our food. So we left and went to Sonic. By looking at the reviews, 45 minutes to make a sandwich doesn’t seem to be a fluke for these employees.
