A place with authentic homey Mexican food. As someone who is just passing by/out of state, I will go out of my way to come back and have this food on the way home. Nice people, great food that feels my grandmas cooking.

The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and very tasty!! The service was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was homey and very clean. We had the tacos birria, a giant California carnitas burrito with green chili, a taco salad, and chicken and steak tacos. Highly recommend the birria tacos, but all was delicious. The fried ice cream at the end of the meal was huge and delicious!!

They have great family packs to accommodate large amounts of people. They are my go-to when I need to feed a lot of people. All of the food is great.

Carlsbad might have the worst food on the planet this was very bad I hate to say. Very inviting staff and building. But the food was God awful cold bland and microwaved beans had dark crust from being nuked. I never leave reviews this was bad

Amazing food. I had the stuffed sopapillas with carnitas and a side of green chili. The green chili was so rich and flavorful. The carnitas was super. If I lived in Carlsbad, this would be on my regular rotation.

Food was absolutely delicious. Steak and huevos rancheros was an amazing breakfast! That green ranchero sauce was ??. Our server was Carlos and he was friendly and kept our drinks topped off. Overall great experience!

We were immediately greeted upon walking into the door.Waitress sat us and got our drinks immediately.Food came out quickly after some great recommendations from the waitress.Food was delicious; minor criticisms like slightly overcooked steak and slightly undercooked potatoes. Overall amazing though, tasted light and fresh even with our heavy meals.
Visiting town and found an authentic Mexican gem. My husband said it was hands down one of the best Carne Asada Burrito's he's ever had. I have to say that the Tripitas Tacos were also some of the very best I've had as well, and their salsas are flavorful too. Awesome customer service, very helpful and to the point. Will definitely be back.

Visiting from out of state and read reviews for this place and gave it a shot. Delicious! Great service and food. Tried the Birria Tacos and OMG- amazing! Very casual place with a locals vibe. But definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Salsas, all of them are too yummy! Ceviche is fresh and citrusy. I had the Chile relleno combo plate and scraped the plate clean. The limenado and guacamole were worth a few extra dollars!

Do not judge a book by its cover applies here. The exterior may not draw you in however the interior is quaint with a Spanish flair. Bright colors and decorations. The service is so fast and everyone was friendly. The food is the real star of the show. Best salsa I have ever had!! Husband had the birria tacos and they were amazing! I had the Gordita, the chicken was delicious, wish I would have gotten another one. The beef one was dry and very bland would not recommend it. This place is definitely worth a try!!
