Thelma's Wangs & Thangs

Tried to go here because of the good reviews, but they are closed for renovations. I’ll give them five stars so I don’t hurt their ratings and also because the lady was very nice. She stated they should be open sometime in April. Just wanted to get a heads up for everybody.

Quirky but delicious

Lots of life with friendly management and delicious food! Definitely recommend if you're heading through Carlsbad and need a bite to eat!

My boyfriend and I re searched places to eat before we came to Carlsbad like anyone would do to get prepared. We came across Thelma’s and the first thing that stood out was the high rating. I read all the reviews and this was number one on our list. Long story short we came here for dinner after a long day and it did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere makes you feel at home, the owners are so loving and down to earth, and the wings… WOW. Definitely coming here again, and I highly encourage to try. Locals will say it is in the “hood” do not listen to them it is safe.

Best restaurant in Carlsbad. Excellent chicken wings. It is BYOB and has a cash discount. We got the KK, Hot, Spicy BBQ, Mango Habenero, Teriyaki, Tia's, Garlic Parm, and Ranch. All were Excellent. The homemade fries weren't as crispy as some would like, but I loved them.

Amazing service and the wings were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and still juicy. I had buffalo and garlic parm both were very tasty.

Wings, burger and fries were great.
We came in a little late for lunch and were the only ones there.
Traveling from SC and visiting the caverns, happened to spot this place on a Google maps restaurant search.
We have never been to a place that has made us feel more like family!
Ms Belia and Ms Sandra are without a doubt the kindest in the world! Thank you from "Walter and Janice"! ?
If we are ever back in Carlsbad, we for sure will be going back to Thelma's Wangs and Thangs!
And you will not be disappointed if you give them a try!

Was visiting the caverns from Texas and wanted some wings after the tour. Thought BWW sounded Good but we saw this place pop up and saw the reviews. The wings were absolutely great and the service was consistent and welcoming. Everything about the place was far better than any big corporation could hope for. Support these folks.

This place is AMAZING!!! Delicious burgers, incredible wings, and top-notch service!! My husband and I have eaten here 3 times this week because it's THAT GOOD! As a texas born and raised Chef, I respect the love that goes into their food! Y'all definitely need to come out! ?

Had a great meal here. Tried several different wing varieties with our group. All were delicious. Another person tried the cheeseburger and said it was great. Fries were also surprisingly good. Not a bad item on the menu.
