If you’re visiting from Oklahoma you have to try this place. The fried okra is the best I’ve had here. They may not have “armadillo eggs” but it’s as close to “Jake’s Rib” as you will find here. The sliced brisket was amazing and the ribs and hot links are amazing as well. Key lime pie is homemade and so are the chips you get with the salsa. And you know you’re in a real bbq place when you get wet wipes with your meal.

Ribs Barbecue is one of my absolute favorite barbecue spots in New Mexico! The food is consistently amazing—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. Mediocre food with a side of racism. First thing you find after walking in is racist t shirts for sale, then political propaganda all over the walls. Food has gone downhill over the years. I came for dinner and got a lecture.
We really looked forward to eating here this evening. Our waitress, Melissa was top notch. She was excellent! The restaurant was very loud. We couldn’t talk because we couldn’t hear each other. When our food came it came with a bbq sauce that was horrible. My husband and I couldn’t eat the meat (pulled pork) because of the sauces. We ask if they had anything else and they said only the house that was on the plate and then the bottle on the table. One was worse than the other. I got the Mac and cheese which was greasy. Left all that except the first bite. My brother did eat all of this meal since he didn’t get any sauce. Overall I’d say is get a burger. Just skip any sauce.

The ribs and pulled pork were very good and the meatloaf is surprisingly delicious. Service was attentive and very friendly. Overall just a really good spot for lunch or dinner.
Parking: Large parking lot that can fill up but there are usually a few open spots.
Kid-friendliness: Many great options for the carnivorous child in your life.
