About Foster's Hotel & Bar
Foster's Hotel & Bar Reviews
Traveling through and stopped in for lunch, the front door was open but it looked a little dark. Owner or manager finally came in and I asked if they were open. In a very rude angry voice he said “no “! So we abruptly headed out of the door. It could have been handled in a much better way.
The best bartender I have ever met!
The most welcoming place of business in Chama. The staff and even the customers are super friendly and inviting. The food is delicious, plentiful and not overpriced. The bar has that old school New Mexico flavor and the hardest working bartenders you will ever find. They are located directly across from the Train Station.
Better call ahead if you want to stay in their remodeled but still western, cozy, Hotel.

Foster's Hotel & Bar is a historic place with good food and excellent service. The hotel offers a small cowboy feel room and is a hometown favorite spot. The green chili dish and the red chile are great and spicy, as they should be. Located conveniently near shopping and train depot, it is a must-visit destination for those looking to experience a piece of local history. The old saloon style place gives a glimpse of an 1880's saloon and hotel. Visitors enjoy authentic New Mexican food like the taco plate, beans, and yummy sopapillas. The portions are big and delicious, though sometimes there is a bit of a wait on food. The staff is very nice and provides awesome service. Guests can sit outside with their pup and grab a good drink from the bar next door. The historic building adds to the charm of this busy spot.
