“We happened upon this gem as we were passing through and just can’t say enough good things about it. Simple and extremely well prepared food, excellent service and lots of charm. If you find yourself anywhere near the Elk Horn take that detour, it’s worth it”

“We found ourselves in Chama for a rest stop, I ordered 2 tacos with eggs, potatoes and cheese. Something so simple was great and filling. After mulling over the salsa bar and hoping it would not be too hot, the green sauce was nice on the tacos. We also ordered an agua fresca, watermelon, it was refreshing on a hot day. Service was nice and efficient.”

“Visited Chama recently and found this cute coffee shop on the way to the train. The staff was very nice and helpful. Coffee and scones were amazing!”
“05/17/26 quiet spot with great food. Price and size of the stuffed sopapilla plate is a hikers dream And both the red and green sauce are different and better than most so the safe bet is order it with both or as they say “ Christmas “ style”

“Pros: For one thing, it's open every day, and often one of the few options for food in Chama. And it's pretty much like any other Subway, so you know what you'll be getting.
Cons: Every time I have been there, at least one and sometimes all of the employees are obviously high. And it's pretty much like any other Subway, so there's a ceiling on how good a sandwich you can get. (Just my opinion of course.)”

“Totally awesome pastries and coffee. It's unreal to find this quality anywhere, and in a small northern NM village it's really a treasure.”
