We did Christmas Day dinner here and it was amazing. The food was PHENOMENAL (prime rib, baked potato, all the fixings and, of course, dessert). I am picky about beef and this was done perfectly. Red velvet cake and German chocolate cake were both delicious. More than the food, Rhonda and her folks were the sweetest, kindest people and that elevated the whole experience to the next level. I wasn't feeling super festive when I walked in, but they put me in the Christmas spirit...
We stopped here on the way to Philmont. Loved the Southwest Feal of the place. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Food was some of the best breakfast food I had every had and helpings were large. Our scouts loved it so much they also wanted to stop by for our post trail dinner too but the place was closed. Because of popular demand wound up stopping here on our way back out of town instead of having the dinning hall meal that morning. This place is on the list to visit...
The Thanksgiving dinner was the best food I’ve has since leaving the Deep South. Nothing was dry or overcooked. Everything perfectly spiced. The cooks here know what they are doing!
