Great place to stop when passing through. Food was great and service was better. Thanks for a nice lunch and kind service.

Stopped here for lunch as we were traveling through Clayton. A funky little place which is joined to a florist-gift shop, not the easiest place to find but worth the hunt. Husband had the Navajo taco and I had the green chile stew and brisket quesadillas, all were very good, with big portions. Ruby the waitress, was funny and added to the experience.

We stopped here on a whim on our way out to Angel Fire- it was fantastic and we’ll be back again! My husband couldn’t stop raving about his Rio Grande sandwich. My BLT was fabulous! Our kids loved their hamburgers and the service was great.

You are going to love it
We could almost not locate this restaurant as it is hidden in the florist shop. This is a very funky very small place to eat. It is a gift store-florist-restaurant and bursting at the seems. There is room for 20 people. The food was all very good. Service is a bit slow due to a tiny open kitchen. Prices are very cheap for the quality of the food.

The staff was friendly amd greet us. You can use either door to enter. Cute store attached. Lots of fun things to buy. Food was very good. We had a chicken quesadilla that came with chips and salsa. Very yummy! Chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. It was also delicious! Tha is for the great good.

Excellent Rueben’s. Quaint, cute seating area. Great service
We stopped here for lunch on our way to NM. Ruby and her crew made sure we were well fed! We learned some interesting facts about the town of Clayton as well. A great slice of life, including Pogo the cockatiel who dances to Andy Griffith!). Great food and service!

Not a very good experience! Took 20+ minutes to get our food. The waitress was unprofessional and rude. When I said I wasn’t ready to order she sighed and made many faces when we were ordering. We didn’t get refills once and the atmosphere was just off. Owner was very sweet tho! Just the waitress was disrespectful.

We were passing through while traveling and stopped for lunch. It seemed a little odd walking through a gift shop and kitchen to sit down, but the ladies working there were so nice and friendly, it made it seem like you were visiting someone's home. And the food was delicious! My wife had the Cuban sandwich and I had a Green Chili Burger, both were great and reasonably priced. My wife even found herself a cute little purse in the gift area

Random stop. Very home down family feel. Like going to your Aunt's house for Easter every five years. I got a burger and it was just like my Aunt made. The side of Slaw and potato salad was OK. The wife ordered The Rio grande sandwich and thought it was up to her standards. It's a small place with six tables and a good menu. Worth the stop if you're passing through or don't want to make dinner tonight.
It's a small little dining room off of the back of a flower and gift shop. The wait for food is long, but it's SOOO worth it! Everything is so fresh and bountiful. From hand me down recipes to the wait staff, it's an experience you definitely should have at least once.
Wonderful place, tried the daily special which was absolutely fantastic. My server and the owner were Wonderful, If ever traveling through and need a break definitely stop by there!
This is barkroads gem, forget fast food eat local ma and pop.
