“The family running this place are amazing and super friendly. I love their tripas tacos so much that I order it by the pound and my husband does get a little bit but the rest is all for me! Their Salsas and pickled onions are amazing. I have never ordered anything from this place that I did not eat every single bite with Glee.”

“Beautiful and historic inn (and saloon!) Rooms are clean and comfy and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast is included with your stay and much of the food is homemade by the very kind and warm-hearted JoBeth. (She gives good hugs, too!) The historic Luna Cinema is right across the street and there’s ample parking in the back lot (we were hauling a trailer and had plenty of space to maneuver). If you are traveling this way, Hotel Elkins is a really special place to rest your head.”

“Quaint horse themed little mom and pop diner, with a good variety of menu options and specials.

We were greeted and told to seat ourselves, which we did. Menus were brought right away and drink order taken. Drinks were brought right away a d we were able to put in our food order. Our dinners came with salad, but you have no other option. I figured my main meal would be enough, and it was. My husband had the chicken fried chicken and I had the grilled chicken breast. I had the baked potato, my hurband had mashed, and veg was green beans. Nothing fancy, but it was good plain tasty cooking. I was hoping to get some apple pie to go, but they were out so I got a piece of pecan instead. Waitress was helpful and friendly.

We did wait for a check, but were told just to go to the register. As my husband went to pay, she moved the screen away from him and did something, then turned it back. He thinks she automatically added in the tip as the total came to about 8 more than he expected (which accounts for a 20% tip) did seem a little odd though.

Overall, a good experience, and as expected for where we were. We would stop again.”
