Connie's Kitchen is an adorable and delicious place with a very sweet owner and friendly staff. The food is all homemade from scratch, not delivered from a Sysco truck. Menu items include short rib tacos, homemade pizzas cooked to perfection, and Timberon Taters with a perfect crunchy outside and cloud-like inside, made special by the Love Dust house seasoning. Fresh banana bread is super moist and very yummy. Homemade pies, like banana cream pie, are delicious, though some find the pizza pricey and the pie slices tiny. The serene drive from Cloudcroft to Timberon is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of birds for bird watching. This gem is absolutely worth the trip.
