The polenta with the pork loin was superb. The pork belly appetizer was also really good. The mushrooms on the steak were fresh and excellent (the steak could have been a tad better). Our server was lots of fun.
The dessert was good. The chicken Kiev was over breaded overdone and lacked cheese. The pork was wasn't bad but not superlative. The poblano special was enjoyable but not to be repeated. Service was great.
The restaurant has always been quite good. Now, with Jonathan Pero as executive chef, every meal we have eaten there has been interesting and outstanding. The introduction of Small Plates 4 course menus on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, different week, is a great innovation for those of us liking a bit less food.
