While traveling stopped at the Deming NM location after hearing reviews about it. It's located inside a travel center/fueling station which was convenient when cross country traveling and desiring some solid food for a change. However, this place was lacking from the counter staff to the food. I ordered two large Baker's with Beef brisket as my meat and a bone in wings with sweet barbecue sauce. My order was prepared by Aus***, who never looked at me when I placed the order he just said who's next and I would hope it wasn't due to my ethnicity either way it's always a good idea to be more personable with customers or at least give them the same courtesy that is given to others respectfully. A young lady in the back prepared the wings and nothing was fresh. The potatoes were cold and hard the brisket also cold there were bacon bits which I didn't want and a pungent sour cream smeared on top and loads of butter flavored oil in the containers the potatoes were served in. The chicken wings were cold and hard like being reheated numerous times in a microwave then set out and by the time they reach the customer no texture, flavor, or temperature control whatsoever. It was disgusting for a first time visit to any Dickey's Barbecue... This was a waste of money that was left in the trash near the dog park on the property... And definitely not worth the $10 tip left in their little metal box on the counter. Do better because had I known the service and food was this lacking I would have kept going on the interstate. The middle aged gentleman that was there as the cashier/ server on 12/28/24 was kind and we appreciate his friendliness.

This place is a great stop if you're ever in the area! The food was plentiful and filling, and we managed to easily feed a group of 7. The staff were amazing too! The place was clean, and the atmosphere, while not being anything too special, was nice for a gas station. The food also arrived very quickly, which was nice!

About my family of seven in close to the middle of night while we were on a very long road trip. The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff was patient as my wife had a translate the menu into Italian for my in-laws. They were even wonderful while dealing with my small child. I will definitely make it a frequent stop on my road trips

Love dickies their baker potatoes are the best however today we could not even place an order the tall guy that was taking orders wasn’t actually taking orders he was just staring across the counter with a glazed look in his eyes. I’ll stick to the dickies in Benson instead of Deming since you can’t hire people that can communicate or take orders. Maybe ask your staff to wait until they get home before doing hard drugs. Had to walk away from that one.

We ate at Dickies BBQ pit the brisket was soft came apart , sweet and spicy due there different sauses. Fresh Mac & Cheese, the fries were fresh. Price was reasonable. The atmosphere was sensibly cute. I will totally stop again.
Overall, pretty good for a chain. Not the best brisket I've ever had but decent. Warm, moist, and trimmed of fat. Okra was good. Slaw was fair but that's a style thing (not sweet enough for me). Need to learn how to make sweet tea. Serving barbecue without sweet tea is a sin.

I had made a 3 pound order of the sliced brisket but somehow got about half as chopped, top stack was the only sliced brisket mabey check your orders before you leave
