“Headed home and hungry, I searched for places to eat in Deming and Irma’s Restaurant was #1 on the list and with good reason. The salsa is to die for. Husband had enchiladas with red sauce while I had chicken flautas. Everything was delicious. You’ve gotta stop if you’re in the area. 10 stars! ⭐️”

“Found this place as we were leaving Hatch on our way home to AZ, and we were not disappointed. Food was made fresh from scratch, and everything was delicious. Knew this place was a gem the moment we tried the sweet tea, which is also homemade. From the drinks, to the appetizers, to the main course, and finally the pies. You will not be disappointed if you stop and eat there. We definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. I know this will become a regular stop for us anytime we're in the area visiting from AZ. Can't wait for next time.”

Pro: great salsa w/ robust chips. Flat enchiladas and gorditas scored high marks!
Only Con: the "chicken fried steak" used in the Milanesa Special was a factory-prepared patty, like cafeteria food. But Pro: chili verde on it was authentically tasty.
Service was friendly, attentive, Fine folks!

“Hoping to try the Khadi Pakora and Baingan Bhartha next. We’ve eaten here twice in two weeks and will be back every week hence. Neat truck-stop diner vibe. Very clean. The owners are lovely kind and neighborly. Plenty of vegetarian choices. Safe parking. Long haul truckers, you need to park and eat here. Anyone who appreciates fresh cooked meals, kind people and large portions for very reasonable prices needs to frequent this charming diner.”

“I was a baker for 52 years. I travel all over the US and stop at bakeries all over on my travels. I am retired now but I still enjoy going into bakeries to check them out. We had a bakery for 20 years and I miss it. When I stopped at the Cookie Jar I was greeted by the owner warmly. I looked around at her products. I purchased several items. When we tried them we were very impressed. Everything was fresh and delicious. She had nice looking items and all of them were great! If you get within a hundred miles of the Cookie Jar it’s a worthwhile stop. Lord bless”

“As a truck driver it is not easy to get healthy food I start my day 5:00 a.m. in the morning from Dallas I'm in my way to North California Oakland after I drive 750 mile my stomach was empty I have to stop I just ate Google a good food around me and then I found I found the polio de cabron I just on time before they close they serve me grilled chicken amazing grilled chicken that you never get it on the truck stop if you are driving through I-10 around Tucson I highly recommend it”

“Wanting some ice cream and something local we chose Panda's. We were NOT disappointed. It was so Fun!!! Never had rolled icecream before. Loved it. If you're in Deming I totally recommend Panda's. The girls were super nice and helpful as well.”

“We ordered pick up ahead of time since we were getting done with a 13 hour drive. We ordered 2 chicken chimichanga plates with horchata and Jamaica. Beans and rice were delicious and not over cooked. The chimichanga was made with beans and chicken inside covered with guacamole, sour cream and cheese. I would have liked more cheese but it was still tasty nonetheless. Horchata was amazing. Not too sweet or too watery. Made just right. We came for pick up, but there is seating inside and outside. There is a large menu selection too.”

“I came for the ceviche but they were all out. I went for the shrimp cocktail and man was it good! I would never have thought that an ice cream shop would serve up a Mexican shrimp cocktail. I would recommend it if you are ever in Deming. No pictures because I was starving and it was that delicious!”

“The only thing that is not good is that they close so early. I would like to eat better more then just 2:00pm and with this being practically the only place to eat healthy. it’s inconvenient. Most days I can’t make it by the time they close. Love the food tho and the staff is great.”

“Great little takeout restaurant. The breakfast burritos are large, inexpensive and delicious (I get bacon, egg, potato, cheese). The smothered burrito plates are AWESOME and also huge. I get the plates and extra sides of rice and beans--a whole container of each is about 2 dollars. Call in your order for pickup for faster service. My favorite takeout place. Wish they were opened on weekends!”

“Associates weren't very friendly. When I go to a place I like to tell a human what I need to order. I wasn't able to do so. They instructed me to use one of their screens to place my order.”

“Sometimes host is busy which is understandable but delivery shld be ready and sometimes it's not. The most I've had to wait for an order was 12 minutes so still good all the way around.”
