“Traveling cross country we encountered problems with our car hauler, so we took it for repair. As I was detaching the car hauler, a man stopped to help me. He brought some stone patio blocks of his own, and placed them to chock the hauler tires. He said he didn’t need them back. The hitch would not come off the ball, so he offered for us to park the hauler on his restaurant parking lot, which was more level. It worked, and the hitch came right off. He turned out to be the owner of this restaurant. While getting the vehicle fixed, I walked back to his nearby restaurant, and got lunch for my husband and I. My husband got the beef enchiladas, and I got the chile rellenos. They were the best rellenos I have ever had! My husband said his enchiladas were very good. His restaurant is small, but very cozy, and appealing. There are many beautiful decorations, and murals to enjoy. It is very clean , and a pleasant, peaceful, environment. What a kind hearted man, to offer assistance, when he saw me struggling. When I came back, after our vehicle was fixed, to return his blocks, I just had to give him a hug of thanks, he is such a wonderful person. Thank you, Mr Carrillo!“

“Just had lunch here with two sisters and we were all absolutely blessed with the service, the food and the atmosphere! Love the bugs!! Hallmark of a good Mexican restaurant is rice and beans… They were outstanding! And absolutely love how clean the restaurant and the restroom is! Will be back“

“This food truck is easy to find. We ordered Carne asada quesadilla and chicharron burrito. Both are yummy. They have a table and chairs for those who want to dine in. We wanted to dine in but it's too cold, so we ended up eating inside the car. There's no parking area but I guess we can use the parking area beside it.“

“Found this place by accident, we were coming from a camping trip. Decided to stop , service was great, food was delicious and good portions. Not a lot of people dining in but a lot of people picking up orders to go. Definitely will go back when in the area.“

“La Patrona is a really solid spot. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming, and the owner is incredibly friendly—he actually came out to our table to make sure we were taken care of. Truly good people. Our waitress was running around with her hands full, but she still did fine.
​They have a decent menu, and the tacos and sauces were really good. A huge plus is the outdoor area with the food truck attached to the building—that's a really cool setup. Overall, a good experience and definitely worth a stop.“

“Great little takeout restaurant. The breakfast burritos are large, inexpensive and delicious (I get bacon, egg, potato, cheese). The smothered burrito plates are AWESOME and also huge. I get the plates and extra sides of rice and beans--a whole container of each is about 2 dollars. Call in your order for pickup for faster service. My favorite takeout place. Wish they were opened on weekends!“

“Recently had my MOMS funeral luncheon catered by Oly and her staff. The food was delicious and they took care of everything. This restaurant is by far the best in Deming and my favorite. The red and green enchiladas were perfect as well as the carne with red chile! Highly recommend La Fonda! Next time we are back I will definitely need some chile rellenos😋 10 star restaurant!! “I struggled with whether or not to leave 5 stars, and I chose 4 just because the price of the food, for what you receive, is just not a good value anymore. There are many local Mexican places to eat here, and their food is higher quality, larger portions, for the same or less money. Otherwise, the service was good, and the dining room was kept well. I didn't have to wait too long, and it was a Saturday at lunchtime, which can at times get very busy. All in all, it was a good choice for today's lunch, just choked a bit on the high prices.“
