“La Posta is classic New Mexican food and has been around since the hitching post days! Anytime we are in town we stop in for dinner and margaritas!“

“This is one of my all time favorite restaurants to go to anywhere in all the places I have been in the U.S. and honestly, the world. Whether for a brunch, lunch, dinner, or a special group celebration, the service, atmosphere, and food is exceptional. They have more formal enclosed indoor areas for dining and then also a middle open courtyard with water fountains and plants. Really wonderful and magical setting. Also a sweet entry way with a small water fountain you can take pictures in front of and some benches.

If you coming on a holiday or busy weekend you might want to make reservations but they do usually allow you to just show up and give a wait time. The surrounding area is wonderful for walking around and looking at the small shops, including crafts, artwork, snacks/treats, books, etc. Parking is limited so you may have to park a bit away and walk to the area.“

“We stopped by for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with this cute restaurant. I had the red pozole and it was good. I also had the green chile fettuccine pasta and it was delicious 🤤. The rest of our party also tried different dishes such as the breakfast enchiladas and the sandwiches and they also loved their food.“

“Possibly one of the best chile rellenos I’ve ever had. The monster margarita was $13 and well worth it however, when I originally asked her how much it was, she quoted me $10. Great service and I had an awesome server. I thought the refried beans had an odd texture to it though. I was sitting in the bar area. I’ve never heard of a restaurant charging you $1 for a side of flour tortillas The dining area lights were a little harsh. Also, if you pay with a credit card you get charged a little bit more. I know I’m splitting hairs here. I would give it an 8.5.“

“Very Disappointed – While the food was decent, the experience was ruined by overhearing staff refer to me as “it” and then say, “oh my god, it’s a grandma.” Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful each time we go. Management either participates or is oblivious.“

My wife and I stay at the hotel Encanto when we come to Las Cruces, and just discovered this restaurant right around the corner. Everyone is so nice. You will love the food! Amd the restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated, also.
P.S. Maybe not the nicest topic, but in New Mexico I have encountered restaurants that have filthy restrooms, which is a red flag. This restaurant had absolutely spotless restrooms. I could see they take great pride in every aspect of their service to their customers.“

“All their food is fresh no can junk all fresh stuff they're tortillas are freshly made they're corn tortillas and their tortilla chips all made fresh in the factory and restaurant there. If you like fresh Mexican food made homemade with all natural ingredients good serving sizes this is the place to go. If you like Burger times rolled tacos you have to go here they make them just like them actually a little bit better they're excellent and like I said so is everything else you must try it“

“This business is ran by an older couple that cook everything themselves. Authentic mexican food. Amazing service since food comes out pretty fast. Prices are some of the lowest i have seen in las cruces. 1000% recommend this restaurant. I feel right at home.“

“We were in town from 100 miles away for a dr appt. One of the techs at the facility highly recommended this place…His sister owns it! Everything he said about it is true. Food is great, people kind and accommodating, atmosphere is upbeat and comfortable. The portions were l large which provided lunch for us the next day! The only negative point I would make is that the bathroom door needs work. Great experience overall. Will recommend and return.“

“I was in town just a few days, previous week I looked up restaurants and noticed their brisket skillet--but didn't notice it was a breakfast item.
Showed up for supper only to realize my error. But the waiter interceeded for me with kitchen staff and they made it for me.
WONDERFUL service to accommodate me like that!!!!
The brisket was outrageously good: I told them to start making it into jerky!
And their sweet tea with a touch of cinnamon was a new one on me and an instant favorite!
Well done all around!!!“

“We stopped at Los Mariachis as we were hungry and it was rated a 4! Not sure why it wasn’t a five!🤷🏼 It’s truly a five star restaurant!!!The service was fast. Yvonne was a great waitress and we were a group of 14! She didn’t write down our selections and brought us everything we asked for! No mistakes! She a pro so ask for her! The food was hot and generous and authentic. Don’t pass this place up! Quaint and so good! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“I was feeling really sick and called in an order for caldo de res. I asked if they could bring it out to my car when I arrived and the girl was so nice and said she would. I called when I got there and she brought it right out.

The caldo was delicious! It had a great ratio of meat, vegetables and broth and the salsa was really good too. The portion was generous, especially for the reasonable price. Great food and really kind service. Definitely appreciated it, especially when I wasn’t feeling well!“
