Excellent home-cooked food! I’ve always loved everything I had, from fried chicken to tilapia and the sides — okra, sweet or mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, black-eyed peas, excellent! And the Pies are excellent! Lots of choices. Everything made with love and kindness!
We had a delicious meal here yesterday! We chatted with the owner and were very impressed with everything! We drove over from Las Cruces and it was well worth the trip! I am excited for an opportunity to go back and enjoy more!
We stopped by during a road trip and wanted to try something different instead of a chain restaurant. Luckily we found this gem!! Best pies we ever had!! You can tell the food is made with love. I also recommend the jalapeño corn bread!! 🤤🥧

The atmosphere is great and the hospitality is amazing, with warm, attentive, and friendly service. The menu is extensive with entrees from all varieties: seafood, BBQ, traditional, and comfort food. Guests praise the meatloaf, pork ribs, fried chicken, tilapia, fish nuggets, and bone-sucking good BBQ. The side dishes are outstanding and made from scratch, including jalapeño and regular cornbread, collard greens, fried cabbage, black-eyed peas, okra, sweet or mashed potatoes, cranberry walnut cole slaw, mac & cheese, and more. The place specializes in pie, with lots of choices and around 200 kinds, such as Millionaire pie, no added sugar pie, and buttermilk pie. Everything is made with love and kindness, the price point is great, and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. It is a rare gem and well worth a stop.
