Red Chile tastes like tomato and chicken powder, corn starch, is as thick as ketchup and much more flavorful than the green chile, which to its' credit is better than the other green options 100 miles around. Southern NM chile sauce is soooo different than its northern likeness. Toasted tortilla means warmed, but timely. Over-medium-well means over-easy. Excellent Chile Colorado, popular Menudo. Best refried beans. French fries hand-cut per order, excellent within California burrito with Asada. Coffee almost always movie-delicious, hot, but not always well-serviced. Good burgers. Functioning drive through! Open at 4! Always a joy to witness such a beautiful and functioning family in business together. It has taken hundreds of visits to form this opinion, as it is hands-down the best offering in town, as far as nutritional density and oil quality, hand-made love.”

“I love this place. It has the best New Mexican food I have found. This is nothing like the Mexican food you get in California. Everything is so perfect here. I like to just pick things up, but there's a lovely place to sit under the trees and have a nice lunch or a snack. They ship their Corn and Flour Tortillas, which is good for me because I'm in Colorado. I was lucky to have had their Corn Tortillas at a restaurant in Truth or Consequences, NM (El Faro), and then saw them in a local Grocery in town (Bullocks). We forgot to buy some before we skipped town. Now, I'm counting my lucky stars that these fine people have agreed to ship some of those awesome Corn Tortillas, relieving any worries I had about driving all the way down to Southern New Mexico to get my fix. “Nice coffee and dessert nosh place near the hospital. The pastries, cupcakes are all fresh and if you like ice cream they have over a dozen flavors. Plus coffee and other life giving beverages. Okay, they don't actually give life but they do immeasurably improve it. We've been here 4-5 times now. The owner is lovely, and the staff are very accommodating on specialty orders. Nice background music and a decent parking lot. What's not to like?”

“Overall, it’s a decent Chinese restaurant in small town New Mexico.I had the sweet-and-sour chicken with the sauce on the side. The chicken was nicely cooked, but the sauce had a taste that I could not put my finger on what it was, but it was not something to my liking, so I did not eat the sauce. I ended up taking the chicken home and buying sweet-and-sour sauce at Walmart.I also had the barbecue fried rice, and I thought that was very good.The staff and service were outstanding even though the restaurant was packed with customers.If you’re trying to decide on a good Chinese restaurant in Silver city, I think you should definitely give the Chinese Place an opportunity to show you what they can do.Enjoy!”

“Even tho there was plenty of worker's, most of them were standing in the back talking while this young man came to help with our sandwich he was also so patient with my 6 year old grandson trying to figure out what kind of sandwich he wanted, finally this other worker cokes out to help with the rest of our sandwich with rest of making our sandwiches, works on mine and just leaves to the back again to talk without finishing them. The young man comes back with a smile and finishing our sandwich up. He deserves employee of the month. Unfortunately the girl that started to work on my sandwich needs to wear a hair net because I found a hair in my Sandwich.”

“This was one of the few places open on Christmas Day and we were passing thru and didn't feel like eating something from a chain restaurant. We didn't have high expectations so we ate with an open mind. Some of the food was bland like the chicken and cashews and spicy chicken, but we really liked the orange chicken, the general tsoa chicken and chicken with green beans. The fried rice and low mein weren't too bad. The egg rolls were not good at all. They were all mushy and goey inside. Also the hot oil wasn't good either.Overall it wasn't too bad especially since they serve you large portions and the prices are reasonable. Our family of 4 ate from 2- C plates (3 meat plate) and 3 piece egg rolls for about $23. They charge 50 cents extra to pay with CC”
