“This place is great. It thrives because what they do, they do very very well. If you read the reviews and look at the ratings, it’s easy to see that what I’m saying is true... and that there’s obviously one Debbie downer or should I say Karen Komplainer who stands out as the ONLY bad review. That speaks volumes as to her way more than it does the businessKeep up the great work. The community loves you guys.”

“I am surprised by the low rating reviews, but hey they would probably give McDonald's or Burger King 5 stars . The burgers are amazing. The green chili makes the burger even better. The cheese is perfectly melted on the burger. Fries cooked to perfection as they are a perfect size and perfect amount of potato and crunchiness. They are not those skinny fries with almost no potato and all crust. This is better than McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and in and out. Yeah, I'll say it. It's better than Whataburger (not the one in El Paso since they offer green chili). Service can be slow, but what do you expect when only 3 people are working and the line is out the door. Blake's is a New Mexico gem.”

“We were in town for a week and so glad we discovered Simply Good Desserts early in our trip. It became our daily go to! She was willing to make gluten free for my husband and it was ALL delicious. We had muffins, cinnamon rolls, coffee, ice cream, and more. There was literally nothing that we didn’t love.”
“Welcoming people, delicious food, and spot on coffee. The drive through is convenient, but it's worth it to stop in and say hi. There are only two tables, but I guarantee you will enjoy the bright smiles and warm atmosphere just as much as the food and drinks. Highly recommend!”

“OMG! I've lived in this area for several years and I don't know why it took me so long to try out this place! I've dined from Europe to Central America. The posh places, we'll, they may have 'class' but you've gotta be special for me to write a review. I found The Patio easily with my maps app. If you are traveling through on I 10 it is worth the diversion. City of Rocks State Park is not too far back towards Deming, if you are RVing and there are several motels in Deming as well. If I were traveling through I'd plan to stay two nights just to see the Mimbres Museum in Deming and drive to Hurley for early lunch. They close early so check out their hours. I'd enjoy a short desert hike at City of Rocks after checking out the geological history at their visitor Center. Then it's off to a relaxing evening and a sweet rest before hitting the Road again. Silver City has some nice places to visit and the Gila Cliff Dwellings are a drive north in the beautiful mountains. OK back to the Patio. The Townhall is to its left. I'll post photos because the sign is not easy to see especially in the glaring desert sun. On entry it's curious choice of decorating begs explaination! There are walls of soda bottles. Cleverly placed are paintings by the owner's late sister from Albuquerque. There are collections of so many varieties, it's impossible to see them all. I forgot to ask if there was a Moxie bottle there. The openess of the interior dining area reminded me of dining in old Mexico away from the tourist traps. The settings were placed wide apart for more intimate dining or in close for more family & congenial dining. I was greeted immediately on entering even while my glasses adjusted to the comfortable light. Drink request was quickly taken as I was seated. I chose a barbecue plate (platter) to follow a garden salad. I'll post a grub photo, too. The mound of potatoes were covered with a rich beef gravy. Two pieces of perfectly prepared toast, bowl of veggies, and two slices of beef brisket with BBQ sauce was served even before I could look up from my salad. The brisket was delicious by itself. With the sauce it was worth moaning over! (BTW...the owner says it comes from a special place in Chicago that's been making it nearly 100 years.) Fans of Sweet Baby Ray's would find it hard to beat. OK. So I asked to take photos for my review and was encouraged to do so. As I got busy the waitress asked if I'd like some photos of their Patio. It was a green wonderland oasis in the middle of the desert. I could not stop photographing! I got lost in all the turns and cubbies and had to ask the way out. This is NOT your local restaurant with a couple of chairs on the sidewalk. Beautiful settings with arbors covered with plants with Talavera pieces interspersed had their own stoves for keeping warm on a chill night. This place tops most of the places I've enjoyed from London to New Market, Cambridge, Athens, Germany, Teguscigalpa, Tela Beach in Honduras, to New York to California! I believe it's because it was such an unexpected gem in a little mining town I've dismissed driving by hundreds of time. The 180 bypass will miss most of Hurley, but streets and roads are well marked. Don't be surprised by the divided streets with lovely walkways under large shade trees. I'll post as many of the photos they'll allow. The art by the sister is beautiful and enhances the atmosphere of the Patio. Oh, yes, I almost forgot to mention there a several restrooms and the whole place is ADA friendly.”

“Tucked in the small town of Hurley, this bar offers beer, booze, wine, and cocktails. You can also enjoy playing pool and meeting new friends. The bar is open from 11am to 2am everyday and locally owned and operated.Theresa is the bartender Wednesday through Sunday and an absolute joy to talk to. She also loves to be creative when creating new drinks or simply recommend a drink.”

“Recommend for asian food in Silver City- the whole meal was $19 veggie fried rice, 2 vegetable spring rolls, and the green salad with ginger dressing. Was able to place order over the phone and pick up in 10 min. The rice could have fed 3, the spring rolls were good, and the salad … well I had seen on previous reviews it was iceberg lettuce and cucumbers… mine was just iceberg lettuce so I was a little sad there were no cucumbers. Overall not bad, felt the price was a little steep but would return.
Vegetarian options: Few staples like the ones included were vegetarian”

“It's July in Silver City,NM. 90'. My ice cream is very soft. Pretty soft. Melting very fast. Can you turn the freezer any colder? The ice cream is really soft. Is it because of the ambient temperature?”

“Uneatable! The burgers were cold and smashed together. The new French fries that are supposed to be all Krispy were cold and wadded up in a cup. Cold, rubbery tasted of rancid fry oil. Paid $28 for that and could barely eat anything. The only thing that was the cokes. I can't give a negative score, too bad it deserves it.”
“Even tho there was plenty of worker's, most of them were standing in the back talking while this young man came to help with our sandwich he was also so patient with my 6 year old grandson trying to figure out what kind of sandwich he wanted, finally this other worker cokes out to help with the rest of our sandwich with rest of making our sandwiches, works on mine and just leaves to the back again to talk without finishing them. The young man comes back with a smile and finishing our sandwich up. He deserves employee of the month. Unfortunately the girl that started to work on my sandwich needs to wear a hair net because I found a hair in my Sandwich.”
