What a surprise! I was looking for a vegetarian dish and ordered the Salvadorian tostada plate. Beans, pickled cabbage, hard boiled eggs and some special cheese on a crispy tostada. Sounds like an odd combination but I'm not exaggerating when I say that dish was out of this world! Kudos to the La Mexicana chef and the attentive waitress for a very special dining experience.
Did take out of Salvadorian lunch plates. Had jalapeno pupusas & Salvadorian Tostadas. Both were DELICIOUS and a wonderful introduction to Salvadorian cuisine!! Be warned...the hot sauce is quite spicy. Can't wait to try their breakfast! They also have Mexican cuisine and am looking forward to that. If the Salvadorian is any indication we'll be in for a real treat!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
