“Quaint local Mexican restaurant. Food was excellent, fresh, & hot from the kitchen. Service was also excellent! Will definitely stop there when I'm in the area. Worth a detour to go there!”

“We had the Lara cheeseburgers - one with fries and one with (homemade) onion rings - and they were delicious. We were able to eat on the patio with our dog. The place is nice, very clean, and filled with locals. Service was very friendly.Update: We returned to Hatch and tried the *popular* burger joint down the street, and it doesn't come close to this spot. Whenever I'm in Hatch, I'm coming to the Valley Cafe. It's cheaper and ten times better.”

“I've lived in New Mexico my entire 53 year life, and have ate at almost every restaurant here. This is by far the best green chili cheese burger I have ever eaten. A must try for anyone coming any where near the famous Hatch, NM!!!”

“I snuck away from my wife for 15 minutes to check out brewery the beer was super delicious I tried the beer All dogs Go to hefen so good I bought four pack of the tall cans . The staff were very friendly and the establishment was very clean. The only bad thing is there's not one closer to home and I didn't buy more beer”

“Just ate one of the best meals I’ve had! Green Chile chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. The green chile sauce is thick and spicy and the beans had a wonderful seasoning on them. I don’t typically like Spanish rice, but this was delicious! Definitely recommend it and we will definitely be going back.”

“I always make a point of stopping at the Pepper Pot anytime I drive through Hatch, NM. Why? Because of the delicious authentic New Mexican food, cute outdoor patio dinning, and friendly service. This trip I ordered the steak and enchiladas for lunch and was amazed at the quantity and quality of the steak in particular—cooked just right and oh so flavorful. I can’t wait for my next trip there!”

“Don't be deterred if there is a line out the door. The wait isn't that long. It's worth it. Really fun atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant. Delicious and filling food. We always go eat our fill after a nice hike through Slot Canyon.”
