I decided to grab dinner at the Lazy Lizard while staying at the Quality Inn. Ordered the special - Chicken-Fried Steak. It came with mashed potatoes, a biscuit and mixed vegetables. The chicken-fried steak and gravy were just like I expected, as were the out-of-a-box mashed potatoes. Not a problem. I take issue with the vegetables. No salt what so ever and they were boiled beyond taste recognition. The carrots were like a sponge of old water. I tried to eat each vegetable separately to check on the flavor. Not one veggie tasted like it should. Someone clearly hates vegetables.
The bartender was nice but clearly favored the locals. She didn't even check back after dropping off my dinner.

It met a need and I wasnât mad.
Atmosphere and service were fine. Truck parking was great.
I ordered fish and fries. That fish reminded me of when I was broke, living on $300 a week and buying Aldi frozen pizzas and frozen fish. There wasnât any love in the way it was made. But hey, itâs a restaurant in a 2-star hotel. So itâs what youâd expect.

Great to have a bar onsite at the Quality Inn. Watched an NFL game. Food is fine. Vegetarian option of bean nachos and the onion rings were good. Cold beer, nice bartender.

What a great little place to eat! Drinks are very very good. Had rib basket and oh my gosh, tender, very meaty too. Hubs had the chicken fry and it was superb! We ate there several years ago too.

Big shout-out to the bartender who worked the room during the Tyson/Paul boxing match. The front desk of the attached hotel was promising to show the fight so several people showed up and filled the place. She couldnât get the stream to work on the tv so I and several people were pretty perturbed. She didnât deserve the flack she took because it was Netflixâs fault for providing a shiddy stream and she did everything she possibly could to get it to work. She was a shining example of grace under pressure as she worked to keep all her customers served while trying to get the match on the tv. A lesser bartender would have totally cracked under the pressure. I hope management sees this review and rewards her for her dedication and hard work. (Sorry I didnât get her name.) Give that woman a raise. Sheâs a keeper!

This little gem is tucked away at the Quality Inn. I had the nachos with Hatch chilis which was great. The place itself isn't very big so I wouldn't recommend bringing large parties.

Small bar for a small town. The food was good and it was the only place open in the town that wasn't fast food. The bar is small and is more for hotel guests but I'm sure locals come too. Nothing really exciting but if you just want a drink, it's a good place.
