Mother's Day breakfast. Atmosphere on patio was so pleasant with beautiful weather and surrounded by flowers. Servers were all so cheerful and efficient. The food was phenomenal. We got the combination plate with green chile and a waffle. The chile relleno one of best we've had. Eggs were perfect and green chile spot on. The waffle fluffy and crisp perfection. What a great spot!
Little hidden gem in taos. Service was fast and very friendly. Glad a friend turned me on to this place and will be back often ☺️
We had the shrimp tacos and a beef burrito. Both were excellent. Service was fast and friendly.
While I acknowledge that the food had the potential to be enjoyable, my experience was significantly marred by the unacceptable level of service. Despite several servers being present, our table was clearly neglected, as we received no check-ins or coffee refills throughout our visit. Additionally, I ordered a specific dish and was mistakenly served something entirely different, indicating a troubling lack of attention after the food was delivered. This resulted in a thoroughly disappointing experience. I expect that with improved focus on service, future visits could align better with the quality of the food.
Extremely expensive
Vegans beware - this place only has veg options out of obligation. The tofu scramble is like a stir fry from vegan hell, tasteless and weird. Why was it made with cubed silken tofu lol?! Please, golden piñon, look up one recipe for tofu scramble - it should be scrambled. The coffee tasted like highway gas station coffee at 3 am, it made my stomach hurt. The service was very subpar but all the staff was nice at least.
Always a great place to recommend.
We weren’t expecting much being off the side of the road but we were pleasantly surprised. We had an order of buffalo wings which were small but tasty. Then we ordered the shrimp burrito which I thought was amazing. It’s a very nice place to bring family, friends or guests. Give it a try!
Super fresh, delicious New Mexican food. Cheerful staff who seem caring and cared for by the organization. Absolute must for visitors and no one needs to tell the regulars to keep coming back.
Horrible service, waited 20 minutes and our order still wasn’t taken.

Prices geared towards tourists. Server was attentive, Menu is disorganized, Breakfast was good but the “Santa Fe” was expensive for what it was.
Be careful adding meat to your meal, they won’t tell you it’s an extra $5;
During my visit a to go order was lamenting at the door upset & unaware that their handheld burrito with bacon and sausage was over $20
I’d personally try somewhere else before returning here.

I’ve lived in New Mexico over 30 years and Golden Piňon is hands down some of the greatest New Mexico cuisine in the state. I’m very picky about chile rellenos and I can confidently say theirs are the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a second one after lunch. The two sisters running the front of the house are delightful and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent breakfast burrito! Full of flavor and gigantic portions! Will eat there again soon.
My new favorite breakfast spot near Taos! Wonderful view of the mountains out of a giant picture window. Great dog friendly patio.
