My first visit to Fire Rock Casino on the eastern part of Dinétah (Navajo Nation).I went on a Friday night around 7p to eat. There was a line when I got there, it took about 50 mins to get seated. Even for the bar section, I was alone. This restaurant has plenty of seating and daily specials. Friday was prime rib night. You may want to check what’s the special for the night.If you order drinks, get your ID out and keep it out of you want any additional drinks. They will scan your ID each time you order.Service was excellent and quick. I ordered my drinks first and waited about 15 mins to order my food, and when I ordered, my food was out within 7 mins. I was dining alone so my orders come out quick.I was surprised a lot of people there were there to eat and watch the New Mexico High School State Games that was being when there.

This is our primary go-to when eating out in Gallup. There is a nice variety on the menu. I love the traditional meals like lamb ribs, squash&corn, blue corn mush and fry bread -- different than the usual everywhere fare. Weekend specials are also great with crab legs, prime rib, etc. We aren't into casinos or sports bars so the atmosphere isn't our favorite, but the staff are always friendly and welcoming. We love this place! We have both eaten in and gotten takeout many times.

Prime rib is usually hit or miss. Sometimes it's very perfectly served and other times it is waaaaayyy too salty. But...when it's good, it's good. The wait staff are always great.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant especially on Saturdays with the crab legs but all the other meals are just extremely wonderful tasty and juicy and when you bite into it you know that you're getting what you pay for in these meals the cooks perform ANGELIC wonders and you get a Big taste of HEAVEN in each Bite. I almost rather consider going to this restaurant than anywhere else in Gallup the only thing that slows me down is my plump belly and the weight that I put on with their fry bread and mutton and all the wonderful tastes that come with each meal like the blue corn mush. I must say I am a big fan of this restaurant Plus they got huge TVs this is a wonderful place to take your family if you're new in town. Don't hesitate to take some for the road if you're just passing through you will regret it if you're looking to explore different foods your taste buds will be excited when you taste the Navajo Taco and your belly will be completely satisfied
Food is cooked for age groups of 60-80yrs of age, very bland and soft. Ordered crab for their daily special and they were over cooked and remained in water until dumped on plate. I also ordered corn and squash as a side and the dish was served with more oil than vegetables.

We waited over one hour for a table of 12. We were told they wouldn't know when they would be able to seat us because, apparently, putting tables together is a "fire hazard", and there was no time limit for people who were already eating in the restaurant. Also, a security person touched a little girl without the parents' permission, a fight almost broke out, and people were waiting to get in. Bad management!

Sadly our visit wasn't the experience we thought it would be. The food (always subjective to one's personal tastes) just was not good. Everything was dry and a little overcooked.The restaurant is just one big area with tables scattered about. It didn't even feel properly ventilated, an air blower off to the side providing some much needed circulation.Fortunately our server was upbeat and a pleasure.I personally would not repeat this expediency
