We were passing through Gallop and because of all of the reviews we were planning on going to Jerry’s Cafe but it was closed on Sunday. Looking for alternatives I was reading reviews and saw the owners response to one. I knew immediately these were my kind of people and had to go and see for ourselves. Although we were looking forward to trying Jerry’s, we were fortunate to find this wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant, Garcia’s Sunset Grill.
The people were great, friendly and welcoming. The food was superb! The tamale and cheese enchilada were excellent, and my husband loved his green chili bean bowl. The tortillas were so good we ordered extra and devoured everything.
All in all, it felt like stopping and having a home cooked meal with the family. Highly recommend this restaurant anytime.

Coffee tasted excellent and hard boiled egg was well done, which I prefer.
Top food and service!
If I may, you just need to remodel your restrooms to make them look better.
But other than that, I enjoyed my time here.
Will come back.
Thx!

Friendly staff, amazing food.
The chorizo was amazing, could've been a little more spicy, but I won't judge that, it still was plenty good.
Great service, very peaceful, and the food was excellentatly priced and cooked to perfection on my order.

My husband and I wanted something quick but didn’t feel like fast food. We stumbled upon this little spot off the beaten path — and wow, what a find! Local is always the way to go. The owner is a hardworking family man taking care of his handicapped son, and you can feel the heart in every dish. Authentic New Mexican food — flavorful, fresh, and worth the drive! Exit 17 off Highway 40 — don’t miss it! 🌮🌶️

The owner Totally ripped me off of over $20 yesterday and I called today to resolve it and he hung up on me. 2 menudo, 4 pigs feet & salsa no chips he charged me $58 & change. I will never go back!! The food sucked too!
Very good menudo

Might not look like much from the outside but the food was amazing! The staff was great and very friendly. Lots of options even some vegetarian. Chiliquillis we're delicious. Best beans I've had in a long time.
It was really good food and service.

Omgosh, the breakfast here. My tamale was fresh made, perfect sauce and tortillas...so much food. My nephew had the Dora plate, the steak was tasty and tender, eggs perfect. The service by Rudy was also top notch. We want to try dinner here. Yummy!!!
