Was a nice place once we walked in, seem very relaxing.
Yet when my husband walked up to make our order, the cashier had bad attitude. She looked like she hated her job taking it out in my hubby ( Leave your issues at home ) js. My husband ask her to repeat it but yet to still get it wrong. We waited 40 min for our TO GO order. Be nice to hire people that know what customer serviice means. To top it off we seen our order sitting there for like 10 to 15 min.
We orderd philly steak sandwich. Our bread was dry, our steak was dry my husband ask for chili but a small piece of chili in his sandwich and barely had cheese on both orders. We said no oinions and mushroom on one but it had onions. Less fries and it seem as if they were in a hurry making our order as if it was just put together slobby. It was our first time ordering from there.
Hire people that know what customer service means 🤷‍♀️
I was hoping it would be great but it was the worst experience after a long day 🤦‍♀️
Hoping next visit it's better than our first experience 🙏
My apologies I hate complaining but I was so hungry thinking we eat good after a long day.

A great place for lunch. The hamburger was well flavored, tasty and big enough to split with my lunch date. Loads of things to check out on the wall.

Rustic in a somewhat cute way, it is an older comfort food restaurant. Had you set your expectations right, it would have been great. But I was hoping for better food when I visited, so I wasn't very impressed. Standard rural burger place with a condiments bar.

From the moment you step inside, Grandpa’s Grill welcomes you with its rustic Route 66–inspired décor, featuring quirky antiques and vintage signage.

Don’t pass up on one of the Burgers, they are all char‑grilled over live mesquite coals, juicy, flavorful, and expertly seasoned.

The portions are very generous and the food is reasonably priced.

I had the worst experience here at grandpa's grill. I placed my order at the counter sat down and I was watching the workers work while my order was been made. I happen to see one of the servers. He was a young kid cleaning the light fixtures with a duster. I kept my eye on him because I was betting myself that he was gonna be the one to be bringing my plate. After the kid was done, dusting off, the light covers.
He put the duster in his hand with the dirty side in his hand. and he was playing with the duster in his hand with the dirty side in his hand . So I watched him as he went back to the kitchen. And he came straight out with my plate.I know he didn't wash his hands at all.He even admitted it. I got so disgusted. that I just got my plate to go and left the restaurant. I love the food and grandpa's grill but after that I'm having second thoughts that was pretty gross.I had to send my plate back and get another one. Then I took it to go wow.And then the manager comes out after I ask for him and he has the nerve to ask me, if i am sure and I told him I was positive. it didn't seem like he liked my answer . This is sad they Need to train these kids more better and let them know how important it is to keep them hands sanitized after cleaning or dusting.Or whatever they're doing.I can't believe this happened to me here at grandpa's is grill. It's going to take a lot of convincing to get me to go back over there especially the way that manager acted towards it. So i'm rating grandpa's gbill a 2

This was a hidden gem we found on our way back home from Arizona. The service was great, the food was good and the atmosphere was cozy. This was a happy find.

The kids provided GREAT service! Food was good. Price was ok. I don’t appreciate peddlers from the street coming in and trying to sell me things. We had 3 different peddlers approach our table. There is a time and place for that and in my opinion it’s not while I am trying to eat and while I am socializing with friends.

We love supporting this establishment every time we visit Gallup. The service is great with friendly employees. The food is yummy. The potato soup with green chilis is always fabulous! The hot sauce is top notch!
