Csme in an hour before closing order asada fries ( the appetizer) came out with NOTHING it said from the menu, CARNE LOOKED LIKE THICK BACON tasted horrible!!🤮 ten fries drowned in RED SAUCE.. if you are driving though gallup don't waste money here, there's ALOT MORE other restaurants WAY better than here.

Great service and big portions with reasonable prices, our waitress had a great attitude and was very nice. She speaks English and Spanish. Our food was brought to us quite fast too.

The wait staff did not try to correct my order today and was insistent that she was correct. And said she would not take food back to correct. She did not listen. She further said the Manager would support her no matter what. Therefore, in conclusion the overall restaurant Does Not support customer satisfaction. Be careful where you spend your money. Lots of attitude in this place.

This is a very nice restaurant. It is a comfy atmosphere and the people are so nice. The food is good and I really like the fact that one meal isn't large enough to feed 3 people. I had the combination plate with hard chicken taco, beef tamale, and ground beef enchilada. I like to try all meats when I visit a new place and they were all good. They have a sign stating they are a restaurant and not a fast food place. There's more to the sign, but I can't remember it, and I didn't get a picture. But we will definitely go back on our next trip through the area.

Never got my food. Sat with my family patiently for over an hour. We watch other diners that came in after us get served before us. After hour passed, I asked about time frame, and the waitress used party that left 20 mins prior as an excuse to why we weren't served. I believe because of small town relationships, certain patrons are prioritized over others. This restaurant is a direct representation of the poor customer service and food quality of Gallup is at an all-time low. I am well aware that I am often treated differently because of my heritage in Gallup (black). It's your right to do so, but basic common courtesies, and service should not be ignored because you don't know me or may feel some sort of way culturally. Whatever the reason, LA Carreta has failed Gallup as a city and community member. Shame on you.
