We moved to Gallup, NM from the teacher apartment in Thoreau today, so we had dinner out. Many of the popular local restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings, so there weren’t many options. We ended up going to Sizzler. We had been to this location about a year ago—I thought the price for the unlimited salad bar had gone up, but it’s still just $7.99 with an entrée, which is quite affordable. The salad bar was great: the vegetables and fruit were fresh, and the hot food...

Don’t be afraid to stop! While traveling through we stopped in hopes of a good salad bar and we were not disappointed! We both ordered a tri tip and salad bar and it was delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the salad bar was clean with a nice selection. Friendly staff, easy off the highway - worth the stop!!!

It's sizzler. I love these restaurants. On the road and just need something nice for your tummy? There's a salad bar, dessert, fruit, pasta. Even if you don't order an entree the all you can eat comes with a baked potato. We always look for a sizzler on road trips. It's not very much more expensive than a drive thru meal either.
